First of all please note I give ZERO stars. The picture i am posting is what a real seafood boil with flavor looks like. This is NOT what you will get from this place. This is 4 clusters of crab legs, 4 eggs, 2 corn on the cob and 2 potatoes for $50.
Wow, what a disaster! We rolled in here on Sunday afternoon and it was deader than a doornail. Jeremy, the waiter, was an interesting choice - think of the worst waiter ever and you've got him! Sir, your arrogance is only rivaled by the disgusting food. Don't interrupt someone's meal to ask how it is, then act surprised when they tell you it's ok I cant believe you expected a different response. And hey, offering more cajun spice? Don't bother! Just boil some frozen seafood in spice water and voila! Zero sauce? No worries, just tell them it's all at the bottom! Not impressed? Look up FATTYS seafood or Clearwater Florida for some actual seafood know-how! Strange how this place has good reviews - maybe try Joes crab shack instead? Way cheaper for way better food! We paid $79 for a subpar meal, while I could've made my own seafood boil for $82 - and that includes 1.5lbs of crab legs, 2lbs of shrimp, corn, eggs, garlic butter sauce, and two 4-ounce lobster tails! What a joke! Oh, and kitchen, if I were you, I wouldn't even make toast. The seafood here is an overcooked disaster, and the corn? Forget about it! Not even sweet corn! Just mushy. Our meal was a total waste of time and money - the best part? Leaving! We even warned some folks as we left, telling them not to bother with the seafood. Two other people asked how it was and we told them straight up - disgusting! They turned around and left! So save your time and cash and just keep on walking!
Not to mention the man going around taking your picture, then having him interrupt your meal when he brings it back in a frame. You tell him you would like to discuss the $20 pic after your meal of which he obliged. But then a female comes around 10 min later to discuss the photo and payment... first of all this is just a dumb feat. Second of all why do you want to interrupt someone's trash meal to offer them a reminder of a place that quite literally was one of the most terrible memories ever made. Stop interrupting people's meals it's tacky and classless.
Note for Jeremy, don't bring people a bill and tell them no rush but keep coming over every 5 or ten min to tell them "no rush". Explain to the prison chef in the back that if you don't boil seafood to death, it will stop taking patrons so long to scrounge through the crab legs to dig for food. (Mining for gold is easier) Listen to patrons when they speak, especially when their telling you what they want and stop talking over them or cutting them off, if this is your only profession, I'd find something else. Maybe stop flirting with the waitresses and hostess with the loud obnoxious laugh (completely put off by that) not by laughter but that we were 1 of 2 tables there and service was this subpar.
To the prison cook in the back, flavor is a good thing... decent butter is a good thing.
To the owner... I'd pay for a better cook and better front end worker before purchasing a stupid robot that delivers food, just so a waiter can take the food off the robot. That's not progress that's just lazy. I'd also work on the flavor issue and Slapping non salted butter (not even melted dipping butter) in a dipping cup and have Jeremy stop telling people "that's for dipping your crab legs in."
What a dysfunctional place from the front to the back! I would be embarrassed if I ran a business like this.
If anyone reads this review... please for God sake realize that the only people who leave good reviews on this restaurant are people who have zero idea about good seafood, properly cooked seafood and have zero expectations of employees. I have so so much more to...
Read moreWe went on our last day in Branson as our date night place of the trip and based on the reviews we’re hopeful. Unfortunately it was a very bad experience. It was a 20 minute wait with basically an empty restaurant but we assumed it was just short staffed and didn’t mind the wait or else we would have went elsewhere. When we were finally sat it took about 5 minutes for our waitress to arrive to take our drinks and appetizers. We got our giant pretzel almost immediately after ordering but it was a little overdone on some sides and was sooo salty. We were still waiting for our drinks and noticed our waitress was behind the bar so we knew she must have been working both so we were patient. But really we were in a little section with two tables behind us with two guests a piece and then a couple at the bar. She cashed out the bar and we thought for sure she would be bringing our drinks as we had been waiting for 10 minutes at this point and ate what we wanted of the pretzel. She then went to the table directly behind us took their order and then went back behind the bar to get their last drink. She then walked by us and finally after probably 18 minutes asked if we were ready to order, we then asked for our drinks and she went and got them, when she returned she asked if we had already ordered and we said no. We decided to get the shrimp boils just to go as it had already been a decent amount of time and didn’t want to eat in restaurant anymore. When we got the food and took it home the shrimp was soooo overcooked and I barely could swallow it. The broth it came in was almost like a ramen noodle packet in water, the food had no taste and was overdone. Very disappointed as we spent $120 on dinner and still tipped our waitress 20%. Over all we are understanding of short staff but only having 3 tables and completely forgetting about one kind of sucks when you chose this as your dinner date and spent a large amount of money. Please learn to season and lessen the time cook on the shrimp because overall that was most disappointing part of the night. Pictured below is what they should look like. Actually have some...
Read moreWent expecting a good experience, was recommended by a friend as good. Went in at night and the place wasn't to busy. But that's when the "fun" started. Stood at the hostess desk for aprx. 5 minutes before ever being acknowledged, then a woman comes by and says, "will be right with you". Then about another 3 minutes passes and a man comes by and says, "5 minute wait, right now". So, stood there for aprox. 5 more minutes and by this time there is about 20ish people including my party of 2 waiting to be seated; and we are took to our booth and asked what to drink. Drinks are brought to us and we ask for just a bit more time to look the menu over. So we wait what is more that what one would expect to wait for just a tad more time for looking the menu over, and then the "fun" begins. A nice older man comes over for our picture, say sure, was never asked the reason why. He takes it and, I was thinking that was nice, thought the pic was for the restaurant or something. Expecting to get the server at any moment to order and nothing; and more nothing, besides waiting. Then the older man shows back up and says the pic is $20 in a glass frame, I say no thank you and he leaves. Then after some more waiting the server comes back and gets our order and we're good. The food comes out in a quicker time than expected, I mean, I was expecting slow, cuz like everything else. The food is well presented and looks delicious! Overall the food was good and well flavored. The catfish had a strong smell to it when eating, frenchfries were crisp and the coleslaw was horrible and a very bland taste to it. Then for the trio shrimp; the shrimp was excellent all 3 kinds, the steamed veggies were ok, and the garlic toast was amazing. Overall rating is a 6/10, price was $49 for 2 meals and the server did an average job. Would I recommend, well with all that said, no. If it wasn't for them trying to pressure into buying a picture and the longer than what would seem reasonable time to be seated, then I might give it a recommendation. On another note, they have a robot server that comes...
