Sweet Shack — Restaurant in Branson

Happy to see new ice cream places popping up on the strip. The interior is decorated in a lively beach atmosphere, which puts you in the mood for fun Ice cream. They have adult options like boozy ice creams as well as floats with alcoholic beverages from Guinness to seltzers. They also have a diverse selection of non alcoholic ice cream as well. You can get any flavor mixed with any drink. Want lemon ice with an iced tea? You can do that. Want coconut ice cream with creme soda? Go for it.

I haven't tried everything here, but it's hard to imagine anything is bad. I do want to review one special flavor. The Mexican Hot Chocolate. This flavor is a dining experience unto itself. When you first taste the ice cream, the first flavor that hits you is the tequila and alcohol (yes this is a boozy option, sorry kids). Then you notice the silky smooth texture. Then the cinnamon comes in and you realize something special is happening. Finally, the spice and honey come in, nice and low. The heat is subtle, so no one is going to be blown out by how spicy it is. As you continue the scoop, the tequila and alcohol die down and you're left with a subtle heat on the tongue and a lovely cinnamon and chocolate adventure. Be brave, step out of your comfort zone, and try this flavor masterpiece.

All in all, this is a winner for Branson. Please try it and support new businesses in Branson. Some people may go for $20 milkshakes, but I say this is the best new ice cream...

Really amazing to be able to enjoy delicious, house-made ice cream in Branson! We love supporting small businesses who take pride in their business and their products. Our crew LOVED all of the flavors we tried including lavender-honey, coconut, pink cotton candy, and birthday cake! Nothing cheap or artificial-tasting. One of the owners was serving us at the counter! Unfortunately, I did not get her name. But she was very sweet, informative, and helpful! New to the Branson area, the sweet shack serves a cool twist on floats using their signature homemade ice cream. The float combinations also include alcohol pairing with ice cream. I got the strawberry champagne float which turned it into a yummy slush, full of flavor! They also have spiked hot chocolate, although we didn't end up trying it this time. Next time!
