Today I visited this restaurant with an appetite for tacos and a positive attitude that I'd have a great experience. To my surprise the events that occurred at 2:35 today were all but pleasant. when I walked in the place was packed with only two booths with dirty tables on the left and serves running back and forth trying to control the chaos... the sign at the front of the place instructs patrons to wait to be seated and thus I did(however I was waiting for almost five minutes). The server (wears a white bandanna, has a unique eye color) passed me up on two separate occasions without even acknowledging my presence I watched as right after I was seated other patrons were greeted almost immediately . After I paid for my meal I tried explaining to manager Alejandro Badajoz that I felt discriminated against due to the way I was treated but he was having trouble understanding English. The server who passed me up earlier than proceeded to pull me aside and talk with me... on three separate occasion she raised her voice at me throughout me being very calm and collected and understanding of the level of stress she was facing... the problem evolved when the serve (5'7'' Hispanic or of Latin decent maybe 125 pounds blonde highlights and light brown to blonde hair) decided she wanted to cut me off as I spoke to her and just be very disrespectful raising her tone and acting very unprofessional. This lack of customer service isnt what I believe Arandas Tacos encourages. Her rudeness reflects a lack of respect for the customers she handles and her rapid one sided sense of reasoning translates to a lack of compassion she carries for the patrons that visit the restaurant. I really encourage training her thoroughly in customer relations and how to deal with the public because an attitude like that can drive away customers. Once again I understand the stressful environment she is immersed in and how one can misconstrue and improperly perceive a situation, however when a customer is being polite and respectful and would like to just have a conversation about an experience he/she faced and a rep. chooses to be irrational and impossible thinking they are being put on trial, it makes a big difference in how customers view that place...
Read moreMy sisters and I visited this establishment on Sunday. We stood at the door for 5 minutes before someone went over to tell us there was a wait list. We were told that the table was available but they needed a few minutes to clear it off. I was told to leave my number, wait in the car, & they'd call once the table was ready. We waited in the car for 15mins before going in again to see if the table was ready. We walked in & the table had yet to be wiped off. I was told again that there was a wait. I then informed her that she had originally told me it'd be a few mins and 15mins had already gone by. It was then that she went over and wiped the table off. Our server actually had both tables to the sides of us, she went over to those tables several times (each time walking past us not even acknowledging we were there). After 10 mins I finally got up and grabbed menus myself. We waited another 10mins for her to come ask for our drink orders, at that point we went ahead & asked if we could order our food as well (b/c she was far from excited about serving us). My margarita came out within 4 mins but both my sister's nonalcoholic drinks took another 10 mins to come out. The food took 30mins to arrive and the server didn't even bother to get us utensils or ask if we needed anything. After 5mins of waiting on her so I could ask for utensils, I finally got up when I saw a caddy of silverware that had yet to be polished/rolled, & helped myself to them. Our server was again nowhere to be seen once we were done with our food, I had to go up and ask for the check. We weren't provided with an itemized receipt just the total. The lack of customer service is astounding. My sister's and I had had such an amazing day and thought we'd top it off with an amazing dinner experience, & it ended up being the complete opposite of that. At the very minimum I was hoping that the food would be amazing, but it wasn't anything to rave about either. Their margarita did have a great taste & was the only thing that came out in a...
Read moreI came here today with my kids for lunch and when we got there we were brought a basket of "wheels" never seen them before at any other mexican restaurant, as you know any other brings you chips and salsa.. this place charges for chips and salsa which I thought was ridiculous! The chips and salsa come to the table and they have ehat appeared to be taco seasoning on them and they were "restaurant style" very thick and crunchy, the salsa taste like it came from a jar 👎 so at this point I'm thinking can it get better or worse from here... my daughter ordered a chicken burrito, rice and beans and I got a taco salad. I took 5 bites and turned red in the face and felt sick. The waitress came and asked how everything was and I politely told her I felt like I had salt poured into my mouth and couldn't eat my meal. She then went and got the owner and she told me " we don't put salt in anything here the only Ingredients that would contain salt is the shredded cheese and sourcream." She offered to take it off of my tab and replace it with something else equal in price or less. I ordered a kids taco at this point I'm beyond nauseated so I request it to go, as I'm waiting for my remake I took the kids to the restroom before we left and what do you know... I threw up the SALTY TACO SALAD in their sink I paid we left as we get on the road my toddler tells me "mama my belly hurts" and she threw up her food as well 😑 very disappointed considering I read good reviews prior to trying this place out however this will be a one and done experience for our family save your money and appetite and get some real mexican food! Taco bell would have been a...
