Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Branson

Dairy Queen has some of the best soft serve ice cream cones around. I love just the plain vanilla reverse it’s served in a cup or in a regular sugar cone. It’s also awesome if you get it dipped in their chocolate fudge sauce. Dairy Queen also has amazing chocolate ice cream soft serve. You can also get that in a regular cone and have it dipped in chocolate coating or eat it plain. Both are pretty awesome. The peanut butter parfait sundae is delicious too! If you are into blizzards, then I highly suggest that you try a banana split blizzard but instead of using vanilla ice cream replace the vanilla ice cream with chocolate ice cream. I know that sounds totally disgusting but don’t knock it until you try it. Dairy Queen also has the five buck lunch deal which is not only a good deal but taste pretty decent compared to other fast food chains. You can get a Burger, hot dog, or chicken strips. Add French fries, a drink, AND dessert?? They're killin me!! Definitely try the $5 lunch sometime. You really can’t go wrong with the taste or price. Dairy Queen atmosphere reminds me of growing up in the 80s and visiting there with my grandparents in the summer time. All the red and white brings back a nostalgic feeling. We were visiting Branson for our family reunion and we planned on eating out and treating ourselves to nice dinners, but we tried to several times and were disappointed with wait and understaffed issues (which we get) through Covid and this election. We hit up Dairy Queen because it's a favorite of ours from home for fast food and I MUST SAY--- it was a treat to visit this location and see a packed parking lot and full line walking in to order, but the owner or manager and staff greeted us with eye contact, shuffled through orders with amazing customer service, and served hot and fresh food. The staff was trained well, they all had a sense of urgency to show that they cared about every customer's experience there. Heck, we loved our first experience, we even went back for dinner the next night! The man taking orders at register (I would imagine is manager or franchise owner) you were our highlight of food and service!

I highly recommend their flame throwburger, chicken strips, gravy, onion rings, queso cheese dip to dip everything in. My kids loved that this man served them both an icecream cone with a smile when we only ordered one! Top notch service and experience.

Last week my family of 4, and my parents were in this location after being at Silver Dollar City all day. We were all tired and wanting a quick meal so that we could get to the hotel. After placing our 2 separate orders, we sat down at a table to wait. After reminding the staff twice that we were still waiting, while people who came in long after us were served and leaving, we stuck around for nearly an hour before finally asking for our money back. We were barely given an apology. The so called manager, with greasy long hair, would not even make eye contact with us and did not care how his poor skills ruined our night. We went to McDonald's where my 5 yr old fell asleep in the booth, and did not get to our hotel until nearly 11:00 PM. We will NEVER go back to that DQ.

Aside from that, their menu options were quite slim compared to the DQ in my hometown, Galena, KS. Specifically, the fruit and yogurt smoothies that I always get at our DQ was not offerred at this...
