Where to start...well if you have been to Branson then you know nothing there is flat or straight. From the streets to any hotel/motel parking lot. They are all wavy and weird. Seven Gables is no different. It's location and pricing are exceptional. Low prices and short walking distance from the main attractions are a major bonus since driving in Branson is dreadful. Service here is 5 star. They definitely want you to be happy. The rooms are nice and beds are Ok. If you want fancy and plan on staying in you room a lot, which we did not care to do, then this may not be the place for you. Our room was painted yellow by someone in a rush. It was obviously not a professional but I didn't pay for an amazing paint job. On our inspection for the dreaded bed bugs, which we found NO evidence, my wife found a spot on the lower sheet of the beds. This spot was smaller than my pinky toenail. She called the front desk and informed them of this. Within a few minutes, maybe 3, we had someone changing everything on both beds. All new bedding just in case. She was very polite and apologized many times. Usually we go through the ordeal of moving rooms. That night we slept ok and went down for the free breakfast. If you like the basic hotel breakfast then your in luck. No frills eggs, toast, sausage and waffles it is. No too bad for free food. We have had it too often to enjoy if further so we went elsewhere. The Belgium waffle place. The waffles at Seven Gables are better, just to save you the trip. In all we enjoyed our stay and will probably return when in the area again What you get: Excellent service Cozy room with A/C, TV, mini fridge, microwave and your own bathroom. We had to queens, not sure if they have singles. What you don't get: Fancy tiled bathrooms large enough to sleep in. Separate shower bathtub, expensive anything, rudeness or bed bugs (Yay!) The only weird part is the shower. It is a bit low. Like I have to bend down to get my hair wet low. My wife is 5'6" and she said it...
Read moreIt is really not handicap accessible. There is no elevator in the building. Only has steps to get from one room to another and the facility it self. There was not a second chain lock on the door for security. This is really a security and peace of mind issues, The second chain lock provides an extra sense of safety. Most hotels have the chain lock to both inside and outside doors. All the rooms have the main door to the rooms outside in this hotel . The person I was traveling with, was assigned a room not on the same level with me. Therefore I was never able to visit with her. I needed the handicap area due to mobility issues. I was not able to partake in breakfast, as there was no way I could ambulate to the front of the building from my assigned room. Driving around to the location was also difficult for my limited mobility. The handicap parking is really not suitable. Limited spaces set aside for handicap vehicles and not close enough to the rooms. The pool area is in the spot that should be handicap parking. There was not a flat level for a wheelchair to get from the parking space to the sidewalk to get to the rooms. I was afraid of falling, getting from the car and the high step to get to my room. The rooms were clean and there was plenty of fresh towels daily in the bathroom. Had I known about the lack of handicap accessibility, I would have not agreed to stay at this hotel with my traveling buddy. The location of the hotel is great because we found everything close in the area. The hotel is an old building, that has not moved forward with remodeling for the handicap, as well as the security and peace of mind for sleeping during the night.. I had to find a way to make it difficult for anyone to enter the room at night so I could sleep. This hotel was not a good...
Read moreNice little motel just off the strip. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We didn't spend a lot of time in our room but it was a nice reprieve from the high heat of the day. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was good. Of course the traffic can be horrible but it was close enough to get on the alternate route, about two blocks south, take the yellow route,, to be able to get around. I would recommend if you want a nice place just off the strip. Domino's, the Titanic, Walgreens and several other places are within walking distance. However, with 100°+ temps this was not an option for us. Be warned there are steps! If you do not want, or can not do steps, request a ground level room!
If you are wanting something fancy, with all the bells and whistles, like the Ritz, this is not the place for you. However, if you want friendly staff, and budget friendly, this is a great place. We had a double queen room, there was a fridge, microwave, and tv with cable. Everything we needed and didn't break the bank. The beds were comfortable and clean. We asked for extra towels and an extra pillow, the staff brought them to us quickly. The breakfast was good, biscuits and gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs, donuts, yogurt, cereal, milk, and coffee. They also have a waffle maker. There is a pool, we did not go to it but it looked nice and was busy. If you want a convenient location, budget friendly, place for your family that is clean, and has a friendly staff, I would...
