So last night while at the Grand Country Jubilee show, I was plucked out of the audience by Trey, one of the members of 4 South (a quartet that includes Mark McCauley- bass singer that's been there since the last time I was there!).
As Trey came out performing as Elvis and made his way off the stage and towards me, I tried to become invisible. Much to my mortification, i was not successful in becoming invisible and he took me up on stage, sat me on a stool and sang to me. When he was done with the song, I stood up to go back to my seat and was told he wasn't done yet. š¤£
Then out came the 2nd Elvis. Then the 3rd Elvis. Finally the 4th Elvis (Mark McCauley). They all took turns singing to me while I stared into their handsome faces, giggling and worrying about my dress being too short and what, if anything, the audience members could see from their vantage point. š³ I focused on one particular lady in the first row who seemed sweet and smiled at me in a supportive way, to help get me thru it.
It was all in great fun and it was nice staring into all those dreamy singer's eyes as they sang to me, but I was so relieved when I got to leave the stage and go back to my seat.
Wish my husband would have taken a pic of me on stage with all those studly Elvis performers, but he didn't know if it was okay to take pics so we'll have to rely on our memories in looking back at this particular event. š I did get this photo taken with their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent here to see The Amazing Animals and enjoyed the show. The animals were very cute and well trained. One of the huskies looked to be either very sick or very tired, one of the two. My wife and I really felt sorry for the poor doggie. He should not have made that puppy perform, he needed to rest so bad. Star lost for that. Also, when we walked in, there was a desk labeled "Concierge" so I thought that was where you exchange your vouchers for the tickets. I walked up and the lady said sure I'll take those for you. She then proceeded to tell me: ok, you have your vouchers with your confirmation number, so what I can do for you is offer a $100 if you would exchange these tickets for a tour of our property. What?!? The "Concierge" was actually a time share scam! I was so mad, we wasted almost 5 minutes listening to her, thinking she was in charge of tickets and it turns out to be a scam company. Sham on Grand Country for allowing scam artists to put up a "Concierge" right in the front, straight by the door, giving you the picture that they are the ticket part of the theater. Lost two more stars bc of that. Kept two bc the show was really pretty entertaining, however having been caught in a potential bait and switch, it put me in a bad mood for the start...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAT the 10:30 show. Son and DIL flew in just to be with us and their Daugher who was with us and turned 17 that day. They were taping the show and every few minutes they would do an intermission break , only sang a few songs, and were asking the audience to clap for the cameras. "Show"was only an hour long ........NONE of us or the people around us enjoyed the show ---it was totally all about them! Saw 15 other shows while we were there and enjoyed every one of them ...this was the only exception! Would never, ever come to this show again---total waste of money and time! We saw shows from the 50's, Reza, Stampede, 60's, Doo Wop, Clay Cooper, Statler Brothers, Daniel O'Donnell, Promise Land Zoo, took the train ride, and a vatiety of other shows and would give all the others an amazing A+ . Best thing about this show was that we had great seats ----the show was not! Kept sitting there hoping it would get better----it didn't! Total waste of...
