"Wakyoto" sign seems to be a light sign and was broken. The main door handle was hanging on the last loose bolt. We came in at 8PM, an hour before closing. There were a few tables taken. Our food came out pretty quick and each item looked amazing. The Miso Soup was very good but a little small in portion. The Squid Salad was delicious. It was tender and still retain the squid chew. The sauce was just enough to allow the squid flavor to be tasted. The Agedashi Tofu was crunchy on the outside because there were a lot of dough. On the inside, the tofu was not silken. The tofu may be just the soft type or over fried silken. The Sashimi Deluxe was very good. I never had Shrimps or gold flakes Blue Fin Tuna with any Sashimi orders before. Each sashimi was very thick. The Aburi sashimi was a bit hard. Some of the sashimi pieces were not cut properly causing them to be stuck together. The Sushi Deluxe was pretty good. I did not expect Shrimp and Unagi nigiri to be a part of this meal. The fishes were nice and thick. But they were not well pressed to the sushi rice which cause some of the rice to drop when dipping into the soy sauce. The sushi rice was a bit dry. The prices here are pretty high by about 10% to 50% higher than most other places we have been at.

Wakyoto is a must-visit! Tucked away in a shopping center just off the strip, Wakyoto is truly a hidden gem for sushi in Branson. My family visits Branson several times a year for fun getaways, and while we’ve tried other sushi spots in town, we decided to give Wakyoto a try because of its convenient location near Grand Country Resort and easy parking. We’re so glad we did—it exceeded every expectation. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel like we were dining at a high-end restaurant. They answered all our questions, gave thoughtful recommendations, and even treated my kids to extra servings of their new favorite miso soup—seconds and thirds! From the fresh, flavorful sushi to the welcoming atmosphere, everything about our experience was outstanding. Wakyoto is now a guaranteed stop on every Branson trip for our family—and it should be for yours too. Delicious food, incredible value, spotless dining space, and genuinely kind service. Five stars, without question!

We were in Branson for a wedding and wanted to grab a quick lunch and my brother chose this place. Once you get in, the lighting is very dim and the music plays softly in the background. The waiters and owners greeted us and were on point with service! That part deserves one star. On Sunday, it's all "dinner" prices which was weird. Their menu was very limited and was not worth the price that we paid. For Udon noodles in a clear bland soup was $10.95. My brother got the spicy noodles and it came with two pieces of shrimp and you could tell it was instant noodles. The ribeye dinner was $21.95 and it was not worth the portion. This place was a big miss for me because there just wasn't much of variety there and the prices were way overpriced. Nonetheless, we tipped 20% because the service was perfect. I definitely won't be returning.

Hate to say that I never got to taste the food here because the owner refused to allow his hostess to seat us after waiting for a table to 45 minutes. We heard nothing but great things…. No reservations were needed. However the owner, who was making sushi directly in front of the door who kept eyeing us for the entire 45 minutes, literally declined us service. The people in front of us were seated, but he refused to seat anyone else. I’d say discrimination at its finest. Turning away money due to race and color. They don’t deserve business.

I’m response to yours: this was during the summer. You have no recollection because you didn’t give us service. Never learned our names because we couldn’t give you business… more refused after your attitude. Slander is a two way street. Reviews are to help your business or lack there of. Learn that one. If you want business and respect, don’t turn customers away. It’s hard to have respect for a business owner who literally looks direct at you when you are waiting 45 minutes at 5:00 for a table. If you want respect, close your doors or find better business ethics. Customer is always right. Always. However if you are behind in the kitchen, you’re focusing on yourself and your money; not business. It’s a free country with free speech. You refused to seat anyone, I have something to...

This place has great reviews but poor customer service. My family has visited this place on two separate occasions, and both times the host and servers ignored us. The first time was 30 minutes before they were scheduled to close, we waited 20 minutes to be seated; there were plenty of open tables, no line in front of us, three employees saw us standing there. We finally flagged a server down to seat us.

The second trip was two months later, this time it was about an hour before closing. My husband ran inside and intentionally asked if they were still open and serving and the man behind the counter said yes and the hostess would seat us. We stood there 20 minutes, ignored again. Two other families came in behind us and both left after realizing we were all being ignored. As soon as we walked out, the hostess who ignored all of us, came outside and changed the open sign to closed and turned off the closed lights... we arrived before the official closing time. I’ve never had this happen anywhere else. I worked service industry for ten years and would have never ignored customers waiting to eat. We took our business elsewhere and decided to leave a review, before other customers were treated the same. Once, we understand maybe they were catching up, but twice is poor...
