The escape room felt unfinished. The Game Master rushed through the intro and seemed distracted. She just played "video instructions" to explain the room's story. I think it's a lot cooler and way more fun when the game master is the one to explain everything, so I was disappointed. But then the "video" was not a video at all, it was just audio of some dude explaining a bunch of expositions. I thought the TV was broken, but it's just not really a video at all. The script explaining all the exposition was not interesting. It didn't have a joke or anything entertaining to hold interest. The actual puzzles were awesome, but the complete lack of clues was extremely disappointing. Instead of clues hidden away to find there were clues printed out and put in a plain black binder. (which the game Master did not mention. I seriously thought they were a reset guide they left on accident until I looked into everything). I've done quite a few rooms in my life and I've never seen a binder full of guides and clues. It was so weird because there were certainly places in the room these clues could've been hidden but instead there were tons of empty spaces. (For example, there was an empty bucket on the floor that absolutely could've held the clue that was just a riddle printed on paper. But instead it was in a binder and set on a table.) The room was extremely well decorated. The backstory and theming were on point. All the features were really well done and cool, the execution of puzzles just kind of sucked. It really felt like the binder was a place holder for clues that hadn't been made yet. It was also VERY odd to me that there was no place to take notes. I've done alot of rooms and I've never seen one without a whiteboard or notepad. In the room I did it was extremely annoying because more than one of the clues involved going room to room to look at things that were painted on the wall. I only recommend you've never done an escape room before. I really enjoyed the Lazer tag and will come...
Read moreA little disappointing. When we arrived no one was at the counter for about 5-10 minutes, we were just about to call the number on the door. Then we were told one room was broken, so we did the other. Since we came during an apparent shift change, the boy that started us "checked" to be sure it was set up right, was kind of disorganized and all over the place in explanation. Then when we were trying to solve a puzzle with 2 tiles when we were supposed to have 4 (which the girl who came 2nd told us), followed immediately by a padlock we were told we were doing correctly with the right code and it still wouldnt open. I didn't have much confidence in the room after that and kept questioning if things were broken...ei strings attached to wall, board falling off wall. Also, she kept announcing that she was leaving for a minute, which I also felt hindered us because as I have done many of these , when you ask for a clue, they have been following your process and you don't have to specify what you need a clue on, they just know. Also the clue was a teen's explanation, not a "written/read clue", some of which were confusing. This one didn't seem to have a natural progression or storyline but rather multiple unrelated puzzles. I also think the gamemasters were trying to run lasertag customers at the same time as they were giving us clues, which doesnt work. The rest of my family who don't do these rooms very often enjoyed it but compared to rooms I've done in other cities, I felt like here we got what we paid for. Yes it was cheaper than the other one in town, but I left wishing we had just spent the 7 dollars more per person to get a more streamlined story/progression of clues. This one felt more homemade and our time clock kept disappearing to show a "timed out" computer screen. Lots of oddities...
Read morepretty disappointed with our experience here. We paid $60 to do the Scorpio room. At first, we couldnt find where we needed to go. The instructions on the email were very unclear. I called the establishment 3 times to get directions on where to go, and there was no answer, but when we finally found our way there, there was someone standing right next to the phone. The young kid who was working not only put us in the wrong room first (he fixed that), but when we went to the second room, he was acting like he didnt want to be there. He gave us a long spiel for the first room, but the second room he just told us "there's not many clues for this one, so have fun." We only asked for two clues during this entire hour experience, and the first clue, it took him about a minute or two to even recognize that we were asking for a clue. We got to the second part of the escape room and we solved the puzzle but neither of the doors opened. So we asked what was going on and the doors suddenly opened when we asked. The entire experience was just subpar and it honestly wasn't worth the...
