When I first got there I forgot to take a number and no one let me know I actually needed one because I was the only one in line. Someone else came in and got a number and went before me. Not a huge deal. Thats my fault. So I go to get a number and I am then 2 or 3 people next in line. I wait my turn until they call my number. While waiting, a dark haired female employee wouldn't quit talking to the blonde lady about personal business which was really just all gossip. At this time a few more people started coming in and some lady had to interrupt them to get them to do their job correctly. Once the dark haired lady left they started taking numbers again. Well after about 15 minutes my number came up and it was my turn. I get told by the blonde lady at the counter that I had printed the wrong number off to be able to get an ID issue taken care of. No one ever explained to me that I needed a number, let alone that the machine printed different numbers for different issues. There was also nothing on the machine indicating this either. She told me because the machine didn't print the right number that I had to get a new number amd get back in line. By that time there were around 15 people behind me. So I left. I dont understand why it is so hard for people to pay attention at this job and help people that come in or at the very least have some kind of sign indicating what needs to be done to be able to be helped. Very unprofessional and very unsatisfied. I will never recommend this license bureau to anyone and I will never return. Regardless of what I need done. I'll go to a...
Read moreThere have been two separate occasions where I had to seek help at another office because of a persons unwillingness to help. The first time Forsyth office was able to fix the problem with only a phone call. The second time I had to go to the Branson West office in person, but they got the job done.
The first problem was my fault. I made a mistake on a title. When I spoke with the Branson office, the lady told me I did it wrong. I said, okay how do I fix it? She again told me that is was wrong and my fault. I said I understand. What do I do now? And AGAIN she starts with this is wrong. She was never able to provide a solution. When I called Forsyth the lady there told me to fill out 3 lines of a document and send it to Jeff City. The problem was solved.
The second time was also a title issue. They said I had an illegal title because it was never put into the sellers name. It was a title transfer from a licensed dealer (not a private seller) and even after I showed them the dealers ID number and signature she would not admit any fault and refused to process it. She (Gene) decided then that because the dealer didn't write "agent" along with his name that it was wrong. To me that just seems like stubbornness. I went to another office the next day and had no issue. Five days later my new title was in the mail box.
I'm still giving three stars because there have been other times I went here and things were fine. Also the new digital numbering system they have in place is very helpful, it eliminates confusion...
Read moreI have lived in the area for almost 40 years. I needed to renew my drivers license that already has the star on it. I was told that I needed documents to prove that I lived at the same address I have had 30 years in order to renew my license. I had already renewed my car license in the year 2025. I went to my car and found my license and registration with my address and found an insurance document with my address on it. I took it back in and this would not work either. I then had my insurance company fax and text my insurance to them with my address on it. AGAIN, this would not work! I would have to wait 24 hours for that fax to be good enough for them to accept. I could have moved in that 24 hours for pete's sake. This was the most ridiculous form of stupidity that I have ever seen or heard of. The next day I went to the License Bureau in Branson West, I told them I needed to renew my drivers license and that I have the star on it. I then started to pull out all my proof of address documents, I was told "You don't need any of that to renew your driver's license." Maybe that is why Branson doesn't have a line anymore out the door. They do everything they can to make simple things impossible to do or get done! Worst ever! I have to click on a star....they did not even...
