If you are a history buff you are gonna be like a kid in a candy store and if you are not you will enjoy your time here. Went on a weekday at opening time and purchase my ticket there. There were no crowds and that works for me. It's a self guided tour but there are veterans that will welcome you and give a bit of information. This place is educational and so entertaining because you immerse yourself in a different time in history. There are 2 ships and 1 submarine. There are some parts closed to the public because of safety issues from some damage that the ship has endure. You really shouldn't mind because there is plenty to see. I went with my daughter and we spent a bit more than 4 hours. The place is well maintained, it has clean bathrooms and parking in the street. If you like to take pictures you will have plenty of opportunities here. Recommend...

An absolute disgrace to the naval service. You can’t call something a naval museum and barely have any naval artifacts. In fact there was plenty of US Army items within the museum, just not USN. It was also very small and the bathrooms smelt like some sort of cheese. The ships were just as bad, instead of keeping the actual museum artifacts within the museum they filled the interior of the ships with museum items. The ship’s interiors are very limited and quite frankly a waste of money. The ships should be completely accessible with no museum artifacts, the interior of the ships should be as close as possible to what they were like during their service. I have no clue how the reviews are so great, I guarantee you something fishy is going on with the 4/5 star reviews. By fishy...

Very fun experience, very cool to see how the sailor’s lifestyle was! It is really great to see Veterans walking around. Like the older ones, because they wear their hats with pride on what ship they served on. It’s very fun to speak with them and listen to what they have to say, because you see that they are prideful and they are just adorable!🥺🫶🏾

P.S: The smell inside is awful. It gave me and my girlfriend a headache after spending an hour or two inside. The smell is like an old candle wax smell and it’s very strong. It does get pretty warm inside as well. So the temperature and the smell is just a horrible mix. I suggest to bring ibuprofen and some water. Even wearing a neck fan

P.S.S I would have attached more photos, but the...

Wonderful time, wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend to others. Paid extra for the guided tour & to my surprise, my wife and I were the only ones on the tour. Our guide was a retired navy veteran and was very knowledgeable about all the displays. Vessels, and life on the ships when they were still in service. Definitely a pleasant Sunday afternoon.

I recently visited the Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park in Buffalo, New York. Exploring the decommissioned naval vessels, including the USS The Sullivans, USS Little Rock, and USS Croaker, provided a unique insight into naval history. The knowledgeable staff and scenic waterfront location made the experience enjoyable.
