The Ice at Canalside — Attraction in Buffalo

I went ice skating here today and it was not very crowded, the service was good as well. I misplaced my phone and my sister and friend went to the rentals room and the workers had it, thanks to whoever found it and gave it to the workers I really appreciate it. Thank you to the workers as well. The person even asked what the lock screen was to make sure the phone belonged to me. After answering correctly I was given my phone. Thanks sooo much! I'm glad the person asked the lock screen to make sure anyone saying it was theirs didn't get to take it. I really like the photo so I knew and got my phone back. I really appreciate my phone back. Cute place to go ice skating for a little while if you bring your own skates. I highly recommend NOT using their rentals. They are super super uncomfortable. They smooth the ice about every 2.75 hours which makes a difference but with so many people, the smoothness doesn't last long. Lol Lots of places for the nonskaters to sit and watch their skaters pass by. Skating prices are reasonable and they have walkers and lockers if you want to rent those. Food options on site and nearby when you need a break. I think you can skate as long as you like! Igloos for rent also that looked like they seat about 8-9 people. I like the countdown clock for the Zamboni also so you know how much time...

I've loved this place since it opened. My daughter told me one year she wants to make memories with her kids there. I'm sure there are bad times, but I've never had one there. If you go, go.... I grew up in Texas and never touched ice skates until I was almost 40. It's not too hard, and no one shames you. I really can't say anything bad. Can probably get away with a family for about $50. I generally just go with my daughter and we are under $25. More fun than a movie... And probably more memorable. I get some hot chocolate afterwards, but there are places to get cheap food or warm drinks there and across the street....
