I just had a horrible experience with a cashier named Elizabeth on Saturday, July 29 at 4. After ringing up my items, I showed her an online coupon and she had no idea what a coupon was or how to use it. I told her that I usually use coupons on my phone at Michael’s and she said her scanner was broken so she didn’t know how to do it. She kept sighing and being very condescending and made me feel like an idiot. She finally did something that took $1.80 off a $55 dollar purchase, which was not the 20% coupon I had. I mentioned this, and she sighed and sarcastically said she’d try again. But she couldn’t do it, and instead of getting help, she just looked at me until I said it was OK, and I paid the full price minus $1.80. I felt like I was being kind to her, so I don’t know why she had an attitude with me. I left there feeling weird and sad about the experience, and I tried to find a place on the Michaels website to leave a complaint. But this is all I could find. I stop in here fairly frequently to purchase craft items, yarn, and flowers for floral arrangements. I find the people who work here to be friendly and helpful. I love the seasonal items as well.

In recent weeks I had the opportunity to use the framing department at the back of the store. I had dried flowers from floral arrangements from a wedding a year ago along with the original wedding invitation. I asked if they could do a large shadowbox display and they said yes. I brought everything in a couple of weeks ago and discussed everything with Hannah. We picked out the jewel color matting the frame and the overall style. Then I told her to pick an arrangement she thought would look best for the dried flowers and the invitation. I picked up the shadowbox last night and as soon as she unwrapped it I was literally dropping my jaw it was so beautiful.
