I’ve been a loyal Staples print center customer for years and have spent thousands here (Literally order thousands of business cards every month), but tonight’s experience left me really disappointed.
I came in about 5 minutes before closing to quickly pick up a business card order I placed yesterday that was supposed to be ready today. I know how it feels to be wrapping up a shift, so I was trying to be quick and respectful of their time. I stood at the print counter for several minutes without being acknowledged, even though two employees were right there. The only reason I even spoke up was because another associate came by and locked the front doors, and I didn’t want to risk holding them up past close.
When I asked about my order, I was met with a curt, “Yeah, we were working on another order, what do you need?” It felt dismissive, and honestly, just not the kind of tone you expect as a paying customer. I gave my name, and was told the order wasn’t ready. I was frustrated because the pickup time had already passed, and when I said that, the response was a sarcastic, “Well, to give you a peek behind the curtain…” At that point, I just asked if I could come back tomorrow—I didn’t want to go back and forth.
When I went to leave, the door was locked and I asked if I could leave this way and no one answered me, so I ended up letting myself out by opening the gate and unlocking the door myself. I understand things get busy and stressful at the end of the day, but it just felt like my business wasn’t valued at all and I was completely ignored. I’ve already reordered my cards elsewhere and will be not be using staples in the future after...
Read moreI went to the Staples store today a little after 2pm. I was utterly disgusted with the customer service I received today. As a past employee of Staples I was greatly disappointed. If it were not for the pretty young lady from office supplies who gave me a warm welcome I would have left the building feeling nothing more than an unwanted stray dog and not a valued customer. I had copies to be made, and the woman at the copy center was incredibly unfriendly. I had prints made on resume paper, and the watermarks were not in the right place - as I faced the paper into the light to look, she noticed what I was doing and that I wasn't happy, but she didn't raise the question! When ringing me up I didn't get a thanks, or a have a nice day, but she was quick to turn around and walk away. I asked her questions, and she was nothing more than short with me. I grabbed a snack and went to the front register, and would say that I was treated by the same lack of regard by him. I have stopped at that Staples several times, but as of late have not been impressed. I don't know if Rob is still the regional manager, but someone needs to remind this store that your not just representing your store, your representing the Staples brand-& the very people who come into the stores are also the men and women who are paying your paychecks. I still have people that myself and past coworkers who tell me how great of service we offered, and because of this - they also go to other Staple stores. This is the very experience everyone at Staples...
Read moreIdk if I went on a bad day or what but this place was a bit of a mess. I went in to grab a print pickup but it they did it all wrong and I had to wait another 45 minutes to get it. The lady blamed it on the system and said 4 other people had their orders done wrong that day. I showed her the email with what I had actually ordered online. She redid it but seemed really frustrated with her job. Then I thought I would browse a bit while I waited but the whole store was totally disheveled and a lot of items didn’t have prices displayed so I left and went to a different store while I waited. When I came back, a different guy helped me and took way too long to get my name, look me up in the computer, look for my order, and confirm I already paid when they girl I talked to before (less than an hour ago) was still there and said nothing to help him. I even saw my order on the counter and he looked over it without checking if it was mine. I had to point it out for him. Overall the final print was good quality and what I was hoping for but the whole experience was not the best. Seems like their employees need to be treated better and they need to update...
