If you have a Whirlpool Appliance and have to schedule a diagnostic or repair, DO NOT SELECT THIS BUSINESS! This is the second time in less than 3 months that I had to schedule an appointment for an issue with my Whirlpool Washing Machine. The first time Whirlpool scheduled a window of 0800-1600 and the day before a lady from A+ Charlie's Appliance called to set up an appointment time. When the gentleman (I assume the owner) came out he lacked professionalism and frankly was quiet rude. He basically did nothing but run the the washer reset and threw my outside dryer lint trap on the ground and told me that was my problem why the dryer wasn't drying. This particular service call my washer/dryer were still under warranty.
Move forward to last week. Once again my washing machine is acting up. I go through Whirlpool and tried all the self service diagnostics and nothing fixed the problem. I set up an appointment for someone to come out and look at the washer and it was scheduled 7/8 between 0800-1600. I didn't get a phone call the day prior like last time so I figured it was due to the holiday weekend. Today (7/8) I waited until about 0930 and then called to get an estimate on the time frame they would be out today. The woman on the phone was short/rude/argumentative. She kept reiterating that Whirlpool doesn't make their schedule and they only honor appointments through Whirlpool for warranty repairs. Cash on demand repairs are scheduled directly through them and I would need to contact Whirlpool. I expressed several times that the washer is now out of warranty and when I made the appointment I was aware that I was to pay at the time of the service call. Out of frustration I asked her if she had the information from Whirlpool of which she told me YES so I asked her why she could not contact me about this yesterday so we could have gone through the understanding instead of me expecting someone to show up this morning to find out that no one was coming. Thank God I didn't wait all day and called!!! Finally I expressed that maybe had he ACTUALLY serviced the machine a couple of months ago then I probably wouldn't even need an out of warranty service call and I fully understand why they have such poor reviews!!!
The irony immediately after I hung up and called another company someone pulled up to my drive way, sat a few minutes and drove off. Where is the issue with the company? The point of contact or the owner? I have called Whirlpool to report their lack of professionalism and suggested to remove them from their options when customers try to make an...
Read moreDear Charlie, Owner of A+ Charlie's "Appliances", Your recent attempt at repairing our GE dishwasher was nothing short of a catastrophic failure, both in terms of technical competence and basic human decency. It's astounding that someone claiming to run a professional service could display such a profound lack of skill and respect.
Two service calls resulted in zero repairs, leaving us with a non-functioning appliance and a laundry list of grievances. Your behavior in our home was appalling. You stormed in like a bull in a china shop, bellowing at the top of your lungs with complete disregard for our 5-month-old child. This level of inconsideration is inexcusable for anyone, let alone a so-called professional.
Your decision to use our kitchen table as a workbench, despite it being in a completely different room from the dishwasher, was both baffling and infuriating. The greasy blanket you carelessly tossed on our table showed a complete lack of respect for our property. Did it not occur to you to work on the floor next to the appliance you were supposedly there to fix?
Adding insult to injury, you took it upon yourself to rummage through our personal belongings, moving food and my wife's prenatal vitamins without permission. This invasive behavior is not only unprofessional but borders on violating.
Instead of focusing on the task at hand, you chose to subject us to your unsolicited political opinions. We hired you to fix an appliance, not to listen to your misguided ramblings on matters entirely unrelated to dishwasher repair.
Your actions demonstrate a disturbing desire to dominate and disrespect us in our own home. It's as if you derived some perverse pleasure from our discomfort and the violation of our personal space. This behavior goes beyond mere incompetence – it's predatory and has absolutely no place in any service industry.
The cherry on top of this disaster sundae? You failed to actually repair the dishwasher. Your "expertise" is clearly as fake as your professionalism.
Do yourself and the world a favor: close shop before you ruin more homes and appliances. Your business is a disgrace to the industry and an insult to the concept of customer service.
Utterly disgusted and revolted.
P.S. Don't bother responding. We'll be too busy warning everyone we know about your spectacular incompetence and...
Read moreI purchased a washer and dryer from them for $850. It came with a 90 day warrantee and at 115 days the washer stopped spinning out the clothes. I called to have a repair man come out. He came out a few days later and of course when he started the washer with no load in it, the washer started spinning. He charged $69.98 and told me if anything went wrong in the next 30 days he could come back out no charge. 6 days later it stopped spinning again. I called to see if I could get him to come back out and the lady gave me the run around and then told me it was because I over filled the washer. I only had 4 pairs of jeans and two t shirts in a deep fill. She rudely told me she could have him come out but he had no openings in over a week. I asked if it was possible to get a credit or trade for a different washer. She stated no, thats not how we do things at Charlie's. I told her I was disappointed because that is why I chose to go with them and spend the extra money because buying off Marketplace, I was having to replace my washer or dryer every 6-8 months I was disappointed having spent that much more that it only lasted 4 months. Then she told me she would give me to another person to see if there was anything they could offer. The other gal got on the phone and immediately started saying that they had only been out 1 time so if I had been having issues with it all along they would have been out more than once. I explained again that I had not had problems until right after the warrantee ran out.. I spent the extra and it only lasted 4months. She said I would just have to buy another washer. Well, it will not be from Charlie's. Apparently how they do it at Charlie's is, they make it work just long enough to get it home and run through the warrantee. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the service guys that came out were plesant and really did...
