This building is a testament to the early skyscrapers. A beautiful lobby, mosaics, and a tribute to the buildings of Chicago that aim high resides within. A must for all those who appreciate architecture, art, or are looking for something truly unique. Plan to visit around meal time and you can enjoy the Revival located on the west side past the tribute...a truly wonderful selection of food from around the city, sample from all or enjoy your favorites without paying an arm and a leg. A true gem...

This building is an amazing treat right in the middle of Chicago's Loop. Step inside the lobby, look up and gaze in wonderment at the impressive art that surrounds you. When you're finished gawking, take the steps up to the second level for a different perspective. Finally, return to the lobby and head for the interpretative display which details the history of the Chicago skyscraper and the Marquette's place in that history. We are so lucky to have a living history of...

I stopped in here to view the reliefs and visit the exhibit on the history of Native Americans and tribes in the Chicago area. The museum exhibit is small but well curated and gives a good insight into the historical relevance of the building. If you're in the area,...

On my first day in Chicago, I decided to take myself on a walking tour of the historical buildings near my hotel, the Palmer House - Hilton. The Marquette was my first stop. From an architectural and historic standpoint, the Marquette is an important stop and worth taking the time to enjoy. Especially the mosaics by Tiffany, they'll take your breath away.

Beautiful architecture all across the city and this building is one of those built by the end of 19th century. You can freely access the hall of the building to visit the history piece of it and some collages on the interior of the hall depicting the story of Europeans meeting native Americans.
