First, there are only 4 waterbeds. Lots of other furniture and beds and mattresses. But only 4 waterbeds. Second, “the stuff” is definitely stuff for adults. Adult novelties, Drug tees and posters and flags. As soon as you walk in the door there are coffee mugs and items with “f—k” on them - so any child that can read these or even see...well this store is definitely for older eyes. Granted, the store itself is not a judgement, because we were there. I’m just letting parents know beforehand so they can decide whether to bring their kids in or not (as we saw people in there with strollers and younger kids) As for staff...they ruined the experience for us. If you’re going to have nostalgic waterbeds from the 70s and if you’re going to have adult novelties and items with cuss words and marijuana stuff on them - it should be expected that people will be laughing and and having fun with their voices at a higher volume. And if people are coming in to look at these items, it’s important to make sure that your environment is safe and the glass shelves are actually secure and safe to be around. One of the older teenage girls that were with us (under our supervision) was fascinated by a lava lamp and was looking at it and accidentally dropped it. It broke the shelf and the broken glass cut her and she was bleeding. However, we didn’t say anything in regards to her being injured. Instead, we were very apologetic (apologized SEVERAL times and even cleaned up what happened). However the employee - even after FOUR SINCERE APOLOGIES AND OFFERING TO PAY FOR THE SHELF (again, the shelf that was not secure and caused her to bleed), she continued to be rude and disrespectful and flat out nasty to not only our daughter and her friend but also to us full grown, professional adults. The money we intended to spend in that store was spent somewhere else. I do NOT recommend this store due to the employees and the...
Read moreWBS seems to have found a niche market that works well for them. There's a variety of things you can find in this store some of it fairly priced and others not so much. They have a variety of beds to choose from but you can't help but wonder why anyone in their right mind would throw down cash for (or financing for that matter). Being that I am in the market and examining my options I've learned that beds are not cheap! I have purchased a couple of things from this store one was a cheap, gimmicky karambit that broke in less than a year (you get what you pay for when you buy Chinese junk, not the stores fault, I knew that when I purchased it). The other, was a gift for my wife which I'll spare details on. Staff are friendly and seem to be willing to answer questions you may have or assist in anyway. I will say these guys are quick to know when someone is just looking and doesn't want to be bothered. They don't hassle you looking to make a buck which I love. I usually will shop either knowing what I want or looking to find something I want. In those instances I just want to be left alone unless I have questions and the staff here get it. Overall, WBS is a decent little store to throw your time in if you just feel like looking around at little trinkets and for...
Read moreI will NEVER, EVER do business with this company again. The last 3 years I have seen an ad on television that was a back to school sale. The futon was originally $249, but during the sale for September only, the same futon was advertised for $149. I argued with the person I thought was the manager, later was notified the man was NOT the manager. Since it's been 3 years arguing with store to honor the sale price, I just contacted the main office in Columbus and here is what I asked and response. I asked if the company would honor the Dale price of $149 towards the purchase of a futon equal to or a similar futon and if needed I am willing to pay the difference. The response: the futon is discontinued and they were not willing to honor a sale price because the price now is $359. The original futon discontinued. REMEMBER I OFFERED TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE, WHICH IS $219. The company is not willing to honor sale ads. Be careful neighbors. This false advertising and/or deceptive ads. Be careful doubly when shopping at this store for...
