Beauty Bar 1947 — Local services in City of Long Beach

I’ve gone to beauty bar for years and loved it here, but will never go back now. I’m a single parent of a toddler working full-time and Can rarely make an appointment for myself. I finally was able to make a Botox appointment with Dr. Doshi on a weekend and I was told minutes beforehand he would not be available. I accepted taking an appointment w their other newer injector bc My only alternative was To wait until he had another opening on a weekend that I could make. I was very unhappy with the work done and called to make an appointment for a touch up. Only then did they tell me that the touch up had to be with the original injector Who is only there sometime during the week that I’m working. Who cares that I made an appointment on a weekend because I can’t come in during the week. I was not allowed to come on a weekend because Dr. Doshi would be there and He didn’t Do my Botox. So they have me completely screwed. Eventually, I agreed to take some time out of work and run over and I got Covid and had to reschedule. Then, they agreed to make another appointment But I never got a confirmation for it. I called back to find out what was going on and they told me that it had been too long now and they wouldn’t do a touch up. I completely got the runaround, paid a lot of money, and my Botox looks like it was never even done. Again, I was a long time, loyal customer, and this is a terrible way to treat people. I was given totally different stories Every time I called. If I could even get somebody on the phone. The fact that they canceled out my appointment, they didn’t care about. The fact that they knew my schedule was impossible, and I was taking my little bit of free time to do something for myself and my little bit of personal finances for myself to use for the service didn’t matter either.

Beauty bar. Do better. Customers beware . I completely understand that things come up, but if you’re going to change doctors on somebody or try to change the dates, then you have to be willing to work with them if something goes wrong. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Beauty Bar 1947! I was first time costumer receiving a service (BOTOX) which I was quite nervous about. Lauren from the get made me feel 100% comfortable and explained the benefits, which solidified my decision. I will also add that I went within a month of my wedding so naturally, I was nervous about any service (especially on my face). Again, Lauren is like the calm positive energy everyone needs and Catherine was just beyond knowledgable when it came to discussing the best course of action. If you are going to get injected, with anything, ever, you want Catherine to do it, she is incredible! Her ability to keep her clients calm, and provide the service in the softest, most delicate manner possible would make me sign up for this service weekly - was it painless... no but if you've ever gotten your eyebrows waxed, or worse threaded, you can handle it! And the results will be way more rewarding! Now the for the results... I am thrilled, ecstatic my only regret is not doing it sooner for my shower and make up trial several months ago. If you are someone who strives to take care of themselves, this treatment is just another step in preserving your body and producing results that match your goals. Beauty Bar 1947 is above and beyond, simply put, AMAZING!!! There aren’t enough stars to express how much I love and appreciate this establishment. I drive an hour and a half each way from eastern Long Island to come to Beauty Bar, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The positive energy, love, and passion the staff have for making their customers feel welcomed, happy and beautiful is at the essence of what makes Beauty Bar 1947 a unique place like no other! From Belle at the front desk who always has a friendly smile and pays attention to details, like appointment times that might be more convenient with my schedule…To Dr. Doshi who does the most amazing work!!! He takes his time while encouraging every single, question or concern I might have. And he makes it a point to follow up beyond each appointment to ensure that the results are exactly what I want. To of course Lauren, the owner who has truly created a diamond in the ruff!!! She has the most positive, contagious energy and loves seeing her clients happy! I’ve never been to a place that makes me feel so comfortable & special, while yielding the BEST beauty results!!! I always look forward to coming back! LOVE BEAUTY BAR...
