Poor experience today with cashier Sonia and Cassie or Case. I shop at Hobby Lobby regularly for home and holiday decor. Because I purchase multiple items at a time, I sometimes misplace my receipt. Normally, the cashiers are able to pull my receipt with the card used to make the purchase. Unfortunately, today Sonia and Cassie decided to be problematic by researching the item to check if it is still in stock. Cassie proceeded to say the item is no longer in stock and can’t be returned. At this point I’m pissed because I just purchased the item 1/2 weeks earlier during their last wall decor sell and two of the same pictures were hanging in the little girls princess decor area. So basically she lied, to avoid returning my purchase. After having someone else confirm the item was still available for sell and hanging up, she allowed the returned. After this unnecessary step, Sonia decided she would now check my card for receipt and saw that I recently purchased the picture last week. I’m writing this to inform other guest of this unnecessary step and poor customer experience. I’ve never had that done before, as stated earlier my shopping experience at Hobby Lobby is normally great. Cassie stated she couldn’t leave the front to check if the item was still available in addition to checking on another item that didn’t have damage. Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite places for home decor, but we could use a lot less...
Read moreI think Mary Abby should be coached on customer service. I was not allowed to return an order item even though I didn’t even walk away from the register. I had the receipt obviously since I didn’t walk away from the register and Mary Abby would not allow it. She kept claiming the policy wouldn’t allow it since I had opened the item however the policy was right at the register and did not support what she was saying. Even though we stood there and read it together she looked confused (because it stated I could return it) however she insisted we couldn’t. She could have at least offered to apply a discount so it wouldn’t have been a total loss for me but no she did nothing to fix my situation. It’s a $5 loss so yeah it’s like nothing but it’s about customer service in a faith based store. No compassion at all but telling me other way I could use the item. Like no I have my receipt and I want to return it. I worked in retail in my high school years and yes the return should have been accepted as I had my receipt that stated I could return if unsatisfied. I ended up buying some other items that I needed and there was a lady was so kind and sweet so I do want to thank her for making my trip to hobby lobby better. But to Mary I hope you take some customer service courses or learn reading your store policy. And if not please update the wording in...
Read moreI've been to many hobby lobby locations, and I have always been happy with my experience. However, this trip made me want to leave without purchasing the items I painstakingly had to trudge around the store to find. I actually made 2 trips in one day here (long story). And on both visits I asked for assistance finding specific items as I had never been to the clermont location before. I was either told "I don't know" without any further follow up such as "let me find out for you"....OR "back there" pointing a finger to the arts and crafts section. This happened BOTH times! Different staff as I was there once in the AM and once in the PM. On top of all this they made at least 4 announcements in less than 10 minutes to say there were preparing to lose for the evening. As there was only one other customer besides my father and myself, I could only assume that was a passive aggressive attempt to tell us to leave. Finally the cashier seemed to be annoyed when I asked a couple more question anoutbhenitwms I purchased..... rhinestones and acrylic paint. Never have I received such poor customer service. And being a company that is so proud of their Sunday family and worship days and blah blah I expect more....
