Sunrise Bank — Local services in Cocoa Beach

I went to open an account with Sunrise because Wells Fargo stinks. When I went to give the rep a check she proceeded to tell me that they hold checks for 11 business days! I said what? Are you kidding? Today it takes seconds to clear checks, this isn't 40 years ago waiting for paper to hit even 40 years ago it was only 5 days. I said OK I will go get a bank check from Wells Fargo so you don't have to hold funds, she said it doesn't make a difference. I said give me my papers, this isn't a bank I want to bank at. I went to another bank they told me they hold for 5 days but said I could open the account with a smaller amount which will be held for 5 days but I could wire the money in and that would be available immediately. I have been doing business with Sunrise for over 10 years. They have been there for me as my business grew and our banking needs increased. Thanks to them I was able to purchase our building through what might have been their first SBA building loan. I have yet to experience one rude person with dealing from everyone from their mobile bank driver to the President of the bank. With the current situation with Covid 19 closings and employee furloughs, Sunrise came through in lightning speed approving and closing my PPP loan in plenty of time so my employees will not miss a paycheck. I work at a local small business and this bank is within walking distance. I was preparing my drawer for the weekend and needed change and thought perfect I will go to Sunrise. When I went to the teller to request certain denominations of money I was VERY rudely asked, "do you even bank here?" I said that I personally did not, but all I needed was some change. I was then RUDELY told that since I do not bank with them and neither does the business that they won't give me change.
