This place needs a zero star rating. They overcharged me for a childrenâs life jacket and wouldnât refund me the money for the overcharge. I was told to âcome back tomorrow when the manager is hereâ. I went back the next day with my receipt and the tag with the price on it. They accused me of removing the price sticker to reveal a cheaper price, then the cashier took my receipt and original tag and âdisappearedâ the original tag and then proceeded to gaslight me saying I never gave her the tagâŚ.finally they did manage to contact the manager and agreed to give me my $6.42. At that point the cashier told me that âkids are not allowed to play in the storeâ (my kids 5 and 18months were laughing in the store-under the supervision of their mother). I got pretty rude at that point and the cashier called the local police and proceeded to describe me as a âsmall little manâ and âscruffyâ to the police. Next, the return of my $6.42 was denied until the police arrived. When the police arrived they asked them to refund my money which they did. Gotta hand it to the Cocoa Beach Police who were very understanding and professional.
I know itâs only $6.42 and they eventually refunded it when the police arrived, but I will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division of the Office of the Attorney General nonetheless.

Read morePurchased a $45 umbrella for a one day beach visit. They sold us the umbrella without a necessary piece. Once we got to the beach we realized we couldnât use the umbrella but couldnât make the trip back to the store because we would lose our parking spot and had already unloaded our three kids and all of our beach supplies. On the way home we stopped back by to return it since we were unable to use. The old rude lady at the register said âOh yeah Iâve had an extra umbrella pole sitting back here and didnât know which umbrella it belonged to.â Apparently they couldnât be bothered to open the 15 umbrellas they had in stock to ensure they didnât rip somebody off. She then proceeded to bang on the counter where it says there is a no refund policy and waved the âmissing partâ in the air saying she had our solution right here. It would have been nice for âthe solutionâ to be included with our $45 purchase. Wasnât even planning to mention that one of the three boogie boards we bought fell apart multiple times while our son tried to use it. We spent over $200 in the store on that visit. Donât subject yourself to the low quality merchandise or employees inhabiting this store. Go to Ron...
Read moreI recently visited this surf-style store and purchased a shirt for my daughter. After just one wash the lettering on the shirt began peeling. Unfortunately, we didnât have the receipt but I was grateful for the kindness of Elora who was very helpful and sweet. She went out of her way to help us look up the purchase using the time and date from the system.
However our experience quickly turned unpleasant when the manager stepped in. She was very rude and unprofessional insisting that a refund or exchange couldnât be made without a receipt or tag. After much back and forth, she begrudgingly said she could handle it manually but made it clear that she found this inconvenient. She even made a point of saying, âNext time keep your receipt because it makes it easier for me, and if not, I have to redo it and makes my job harder.â This kind of attitude was completely uncalled for and left a bad impression, especially given how helpful Elora was. It's unfortunate that such a negative encounter with the manager overshadowed what should have been a pleasant shopping experience. Definitely the worst part of...
