Boardwalk Bar at Cocoa Beach Pier — Restaurant in Cocoa Beach

We had high hopes for this bar seeing all the positive reviews. After a long day of travel we wanted to have a drink by the sea and what we got was a unpleasant drink by the sea. There wasn’t much guidance as we waited to be seated. We saw another group walk past and seat themselves so we did the same. After waiting just a little bit the waitress came up to our table and unenthusiastically tossed the menus on our table. Didn’t say a word, greet, welcome us, tell us her name and walked away. She came back after a while and took our order. Drinks came out in a timely manner but weren’t very good. Couldn’t tell if they had any alcohol or not. I didn’t like my drink but the rest of the party said theirs were okay. Our Uber driver told us the bar is known to locals and doesn’t serve much alcohol in their drinks, not surprised by the service. Im giving 3 stars because the view was nice and the food tasted decent, but im leaving off 2 stars because of 2 reasons, the menu listed a "bucket of shrimp" with coctail sauce with option of cold or hot shrimp. I ordered cold and invisioned a little bucket with ice and shrimp on it, but the runner brought out a little plate with shrimp. I jokingly said "thats not a bucket" and the guy said " ya I know that fools alot of people" 😒 It may sound petty but I dont think a restaurant should misrepresent a menu item. Also the server seemed flustered and wiped off the table sloppy and almost directly in my lap and he seemed irritated and told us a storm was coming and we would get rained on sitying there, but I said ok thx but we are fine. It did rain but we never got wet, the whole area is covered. 🙄 seemed we were rushed but whatevs. We enjoyed the view and food tasted fine but next time I think ill hit up...

Very mixed feelings about this place. Easy to get a table and right off the beach so that’s a plus. Great views while you eat is also a plus. It was just me and my wife but I would not our children if we came with them.

The server was friendly but definitely pushing alcohol drinks and wasn’t overly happy when we wanted food. No complaints on him just felt like the environment was a quick turn around on tables and mostly a drinking crowd.

The food was good too meh at best. Crabs were over cooked and for the love of god don’t get the aloha chicken unless you like burnt to a crisp chicken tasting like a fart sandwich. Whatever macaroni it’s topped with is absolutely divine though. Calamari was on point and drinks were tasty.

Not pricy but not cheap because it’s not McDonald’s. Will probably go again but never getting that chicken...
