I have never been so made so uncomfortable in a restaurant in my life!!! We are seated and within 40 mins of our dinner we are literally INVADED by a party that is apparently having a banquet!! We were never warned or nothing was roped off. Therefore us plus about 3 other tables had 10-15 people hovering over us, waiting to take our tables while we tried to enjoy or dinner & watch the games! To make matters worse my handicapped son that is in a wheelchair was with us and literally we could barely get him out of there?!?! How does a restaurant host such a massive party and not inform people that it is coming or rope off a spot!!?? By the time we choked our food & drinks down…it was about 40 people standing around us. The fact management let other people’s experience get ruined, instead of proper planning or informing other parties. People weren’t even to ask to wait away from people eating…we kept getting bumped into and at one point 9 people standing around our 4 person table to where we couldn’t even shift in our chairs. I would have been different had we been warned before we were seated what was coming or just rope that room off. I’m sure it’s not a situation most would run into here….it still was the most disrespectful dining experience of my life….I will never walk back in this establishment again…and damn sure if you’re handicapped or in a wheel chair. We had people grabbing our chairs as we were trying to get us. Again I get large parties or banquets happen but why in the world would you seat people in a room knowing what’s coming….and then allow people wanting our seat to bombard people eating.
And before I get called a “Karen”…I’ve written 2 bad reviews in my 20 years of traveling…& I post amazing reviews and give credit where credit is due but cmon! We could barely get my sons wheelchair out of there….anyway it’s prob not a situation most would encounter there but we finally managed to get out and went to the Ale house next door! They saved our night…great atmosphere, large menu, drinks and we weren’t physically ran out! Menu was huge & I wish we had ate both meals there.
If I was you…go to the Coco Ale house…I just can’t fathom a restaurant allowing this to happen…..
Also I’d like to add had I been the school/parents throwing the banquet, I’d be equally upset the restaurant had customers seated in the area we were having a banquet. Just rope stuff like that...

No matter what awaits my intestines, I know that every time I don't have to go OTB for a review, it's a win. Today I was cruising up the coast a bit to Cocoa Beach Fish Camp. I know those who don't have the pleasure of residing beachside think OTB is nothing but a bunch of flapdoodle. However, I will let you know that according to my healing crystals, astrological chart, and the position of Uranus, it's quite real.
After taking my seat and perusing the menu, I was approached by a wonderful young lady named Tani (pronounced Tawney). Tani was extremely efficient and considerably knowledgeable about the menu. She answered all of my questions with courtesy, professionalism and honesty. She was on top of her game today, and as her first customer, I can only assume she will get better as her shift progresses. Champions always step up at the end of a game. She was so impressive that she garnered a 110% tip. I asked Tani for a Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich and one Camp Mac & Cheese Burger. It wasn't long before the commendable Tani returned with my order, asked if I needed anything else and went off to prepare for other patrons.
The “Fish Camps” website boasts they serve “swamp food with a flair,” among other draws. I don't think Chickens are indigenous to swamps, I could be wrong, I mean those things seemingly survive anywhere, regardless this fell flat on the palate and was remiss in presenting me with flair. If they are indeed brining a raw chicken breast and then hand breading it with their secret camp breading, they might want to double-check the whole procedure. As it read deliciously on the menu, it fell just didn’t have the flavor component. It was nothing spectacular though slightly above the chicken sandwich you come across in the land of snap houses known as the Space Coast of FL.
The burger read just as well as the Chicken and fell just as short. It was cooked to order but obviously from the freezer. It wasn't bad. Again, you can take the bottom of the food service truck ingredients (this was not) and turn them into palatable provisions with proper execution. This was a properly executed slightly above-average dish.

Read moreThis place had been on my radar as I watched the progress being made on facebook. Let me first start off by saying all the details that went into this place are amazing! Before you even walk in you get a taste of the creativity.. you walk in and you see SO many things. I don't want to spoil all of the details so I'll let you decide for yourself when you walk in how cool it is. There is an outdoor area/bar to eat and drink. Very nice area. Let's move into food. We did the hush puppies for a little appetizer. They were very dense, cold and drizzled with honey. I would not recommend them. But maybe they would taste better warm/hot. Meals: Camp Mac n cheese Bacon cheeseburger & fries - hamburger was cooked perfectly and had a really good meaty flavor. Waffle fries came out barely warm and my bacon was chewy like jerky. Shrimp po boy - even though we asked for the sauce on the side - it was pretty good. The shrimp were chewy and definitely not fresh. Jambalaya - flavorful and good portion size. The server said it was her favorite thing on the menu. Good choice. Buttermilk crispy sandwich - if you don't like pickles - do not order this. I would have to guess it is brined in pickle juice. That's all I could taste when I bit into it. It did come out fresh. Had mashed potatoes with it - and they were seriously cold. Crunchy Catfish - has a cornmeal breading is not your typical coating. It's like a stale batter - but it might just be a Lousiana thing? And I think the longer something with that on it, gets hard. Good size piece of fish and the bun was fresh. We did tell the server about the cold fries and she did bring us new ones. Service - she was attentive and on top of things. Seemed a little new but definitely knew her stuff. Overall - the atmosphere and service win here. The food, I think if it was fresh, might have tasted better but just didn't hit the mark for us.
Oh and it's got a really...
