Overall a pretty good apartment complex. My biggest complaint is the steep raise in rent. The landlord submitted an increase of 7% after just one year of living here. Other than that, there are some various noise issues such as construction, dripping noises from the vents, loud stomping tenants above you, etc.
Also, there is a metal stamping factory nearby that stamps industrial metal, I believe it is the banner metal company. When the machine turns on it sounds and feels like the T-Rex from Jurassic park is coming for you. However, I haven't heard this in 4-6 months. They recently built a new building between this building and the metal factory so that may have eliminated the issue, or they just haven't been running the Optimus Prime machine lately. One of the two.
I feel obligated to mention that there is affordable housing directly across the street and it can easily seem as if it is a part of the complex given the close proximity. Sometimes the tenants like to hang out in the street and will sometimes cut through the Edgehill parking lot. I haven't had an issue with them for the 2 years I’ve lived here.
By far the best part about Edgehill is the great staff. Cathy the property manager always goes above and beyond to accommodate requests. I enjoy interacting with her because she is very pleasant and provides timely responses. The apartments are around 5 years old, so I haven’t entered very many maintenance requests but the ones I have entered were taken care of the same or next day. The landscaping is always in top notch shape giving the complex an upscale feel.
The apartment itself has quality appliances. The AC/Heater both work very well and efficiently. Only downside here is that you are forced to use Nationwide Energy Partners. Their google reviews speak for themselves. I really like the VCT flooring they have, it is stylish and makes cleaning a breeze. They offer a recycling pick up service as well which is a big plus for me.
Overall, I recommend the complex based on value. However, if rent continues to increase it could...
Read moreI LOVED THIS PLACE!! This has hands down been my favorite apartment I've lived in in Columbus. I think it's a great price given the location (Giant Eagle is literally across the railroad tracks, not even 2 minutes walking distance) and the quality of the apartment. I had friendly neighbors, the staff always knew who I was and promptly responded to whatever I needed. They even helped me carry my heavy furniture out because they could see I was struggling to do it by myself! It was absolutely amazing, I'm honestly so sad that I had to leave. It's a quiet area, it's well-maintained, and I had 0 issues. I also like that they try to show you the exact unit you'd be moving into. I've been burned bad in the past before with apartments showing me models, so to me this just reads as they have nothing to hide. If I ever live In Columbus again, I will definitely be trying to...
Read moreI have lived here for about 9 months and cannot say enough great things about my apartment and the complex. The features in the apartment itself are fairly high end and good quality. But more than anything, the attention to detail by the staff and maintenance are top-notch. The online portal system allows you to pay rent and request maintenance, and maintenance requests are taken care of very quickly. Rod is fantastic! To me, it's the little things as well -- I had a flat tire once and Don pointed it out, then grabbed his compressor and filled it for me so I could drive to the repair shop. They even wash the walls of the inside of the entry ways -- I just think that highlights how much they care about everything being high quality for their residents. No pool or gym, but the trade-off is a fantastic property...
