The most underwhelming Saks in the world. You'll be helped faster if you get in the car and drive to the boutiques in Chicago rather than waiting around here for someone to notice you.
I wanted to take a friend shopping and purchase a pair of shoes day-of to create a special shopping experience and surprise her. I tried to call ahead to the shoe department to see if they had the pair/size she wanted... no answer. I then called the general customer service line and was left on hold for upwards of ten minutes just to be told that they could not get ahold of anyone at this store either, no apology or concern for the lack of service from this location of course.
So, we drove out there just to stand waiting in the shoe department for 20 minutes before finally being greeted by someone working in the cosmetics department who probably noticed me getting frustrated waiting around an empty department. God love her, she did her best to help us, but when I asked her if they had a very common style and brand of shoe in stock all I got was a blank stare in return - no idea what I was referring to. This resulted in a bunch or panicked scrolling through the Saks website to find me an alternative (since she could tell I was intending to buy something and didn't have what I was looking for she was very obviously trying to get me to buy whatever she could). At this point the sales associate manning this department had emerged from wherever he'd been and was offering absolutely no assistance to our very obviously frazzled cosmetics associate.
Long story short, I wound up ordering the shoes directly from the manufacturer in the time it took me to walk back to my car and would highly recommend that you save yourself the time and do the same. I'm sure corporate Saks would be appalled if they knew the extent to which their associates were deterring sales in an era where ordering designer clothes online is as easy as getting a pizza delivered. In-person luxury shopping just isn't for Columbus,...
Read moreI was referred to Helene a personal shopper at this store. I expected there would be a snobby sense of attitude and pressure to buy the most expensive items. I was WRONG.
Helene made sure everything was in my price range, and yes, she asked me for very specific information before I arrived for my appointment. When I saw her fitting room I audibly gasped. She had pre shopped based on my needs and had a fitting room filled with my colors, sizes and must haves for winter. This will be my first real winter, as I am from Dallas, so I needed extra help planning for the cold weather.
I was surprised that it was so easy. No pressure, just a friendly helper to navigate through the merchandise with an honest eye. Helene even offered to let me know of future events and merchandise I may be interested in adding later. Via email we have already made plans for a future appointment once I'm officially settled in the area.
For the final touch and lasting impression of working with her: Helene scoffed at my idea to just turn back the cuffs on my coat. She said, "This is Saks Fifth Avenue, we custom fit the clothes for you!" And with that a fitter named Esther appeared with pins and chalk to mark my new coat for...
Read moreFirst and foremost, I have shopped numerous times at this certain Saks. However, I had just recently bought a gift which were designer shoes. Fast forward, the shoes were totally wrong size and we tried to return them. We then find out these shoes have been WORN and USED and they tried blaming it on us as if we worn the shoes, which is not true since the shoes didn’t even fit!! I’m highly disappointed and dissatisfied with the customer service and the way they have handled this certain issue. Matter in fact, Saks sold me used shoes for hundreds of dollars and now I am stuck with shoes that don’t even fit and can’t even get my money back for them. So the real problem here is Saks and they should be deeply investigated on this matter.
Benjamin was my salesperson who knows very well he sold me used shoes and tried to blame the problem on us. Melodee Lundberg was the store manager. Awful customer service. Everyone is extremely rude and disrespectful.
Absolutely ridiculous, this place will just take your money away and act clueless for their wrongdoings.
Please don’t shop here. I’ve been a customer for a very long time but after this incident, I will NEVER...
