Main Line HealthCare Primary Care in Concordville — Attraction in Concord Township

Absolute worse doctor's office I have ever delt with. And sadly the actual doctor (Tomi McCann) is awesome. She is the only reason I have stayed as long as I did. This review is about the office side. In the past 3 years I have never been able to call 1 time and schedule an appointment. It will take about 4-6 calls (all during business hours) over a period of 2 weeks and leaving a message each time that never gets returned. Eventually I'll call at a perfect time and someone will actually pic up.

Most recently I am changing my insurance and the insurance company needed to see my health records. They called/faxed/ and emailed to them everyday for 12 days. Finally got a response saying they forward the records request to the record department. The insurance company spent another 5 days of multiple calling to get someone to talk to at the records department. That department then said they would send over my records but in 30 days. Yes, it apparently takes someone 30 days to send over health records that are in an electronic database to my insurance company. Well unfortunately I don't have 30 days now to wait.

My wife also uses this office and when we found out she was pregnant we needed to schedule an appointment with her primary care doctor so we could get referrals to a new "in network" OBG. She also called multiple times and left multiple messages over several weeks and never once got a call back. I ended up calling the emergency line after hours which takes you directly to a doctor. Likely her doctor picked up and the next day was able to just send out the referrals. By this point we were very late to our first checkup and even ended up missing certain windows that would have helped check the baby's health.

If you were considering switching to this office I suggest you think again. Unless you enjoy calling someone and leaving messages to never get a return call, I suggest you look elsewhere. Once you actually get an appointment the doctors are great and really do care, but best of luck getting that...

I'd like to be clear that this review is NOT reflective of the excellent care I received from Dr Wright and from the nursing staff. This review is reflective of the obscurity of the estimate & billing process. I was informed that the initial cost estimate would be for my entire procedure. Upon receiving a final bill much higher than the estimate, I learned that the estimate was only reflective of the cost to occupy the operating room (not the operation itself).

I've learned my lesson to pay attention to the fine print and to not trust any information provided verbally, but I'd also encourage Main Line Health to be more upfront and clear about this...

Nice clean facility, however it is either understaffed or the staff here moves extremely slowly. I am a physician myself and i am always held to a certain level of accountability. I had an 2 15 appointment for a chest x ray and varicella booster. I showed up 20 minutes early for the appointment. Its. 3 : 15 pm now and i am still sitting i the waiting room !!! This is beyond ridiculous!! If i have to wait for so long , then what is the point of having an appointment time ? I have been waiting for one and half hours and still...
