I would rather give the least worst star if i have an option to give. Such a worst shop ever i have seen,we have recently brought an expired milk (which was already expired at shop) and due to trust and rushness we have taken the milk from feezer counter without noticing it was already expired.later after 3-4 days we have started using everyday and noticed that milk was not taste and one day it started cuddling and immediately we have checked the date which was expired before we took it from shop Later we have called the managment /owner and you dont belive he/she is such an irresponsible ever i have seen they said they will refund the amount when i come to store back Do you think refunding amount is the solution?what if we had got an health issues due to cosumed expired milk?we have small kid in our home.I really dont know what to say they are least responsible to clean up the expired products.ofcourse its customers duty to check the date as we regularly come to this shop we were in rush to take the milk and come from there.we believe in you and you guys have an very simple answer sorry we will refund the amount, amount is not the concern here the way they have such an irresponsible answer to customer makes to untrusting you guys again, also i come across from many people that these store guys sell the expire products often . This is my last ever visit to Saffroon and when you cannot answerable to customer please bear all the negativity too from...
Read moreZERO Stars ! I have had good experiences with this store since the day they opened. Not sure if it’s because of a management change so here goes - walked into the store yesterday and bought 10lbs of organic basmati rice. While I understand the overall price increase on all rice varieties (though no export ban on Basmati) how can a store charge $40 for 10 lbs while a store 20 minutes away charges half the amount ? This is an example of #GREEDFLATION at its best. While I bought the rice cos I had guests coming over I changed my mind when I stepped out of the store and went right back in to return it however they did not refund and mentioned they would only do an immediate exchange - meaning I have to buy $40 worth of other items immediately, not even store credit to use later. There were no signs posted of this anywhere (though they may post it after seeing this message) inside the store though the PA law clearly states that it should be. I found this ridiculous as a consumer. I wish there was another Indian grocery store like Bhavani, Apna or Pariwar servicing Chadds Ford/ Glen Mills / Garnet Valley area instead of going to this one where most things are overpriced. I used to love shopping here but not anymore. Would rather drive to Exton...
Read moreI first visited this store when they first opened and didn't have the best experience. For some reason, I decided to give them another try today and was extremely disappointed. The person in the store couldn't even help me find a couple of items and just said down that aisle. I purchased frozen cut green beans, eggplant, samosas and some flour. To start, I cut the eggplant and it was mostly brown, very seedy and black, not fresh. He claimed that the samosas were fresh but just seems like they are atleast a couple days old as they seem stale. Now to the frozen green beans....I opened all 4 packs and found them to be freezer burnt and brownish green, again old. I buy frozen green beans from Wegmans and other supermarkets and have always found them to be green. I called and mentioned this to the owner and he said the beans are suppose to be brown which is not the case...I'm wasn't born yesterday. I tried to cook them to give him the benefit of the doubt and found them to be completely inedible, chewy and flavorless. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place, it's gross. Oh, and the flour is sold at other stores for atleast $5 less for a 20 pound bag. Go to another Indian supermarket and save...
