The worst place I have ever gone to get my nails done. I finally had some time to get pampered after a busy week and decided to get my holiday nails done but unfortunately it was the opposite of feeling pampered. Right when I walked 3 things stuck out to me: 1) smell of acetone was so strong, more so than usual compared to the other salons 2) it was so hot in the building and thought it might just be me at first but another girl was also complaining next to me. I was having a hard time keeping my mask on my face! 3) the place did not have a covid policy in place. There were wayyyy too many people in the salon!
With those 3 key info I wish I just left but I stuck around and actually got my nails done which was prob one of my biggest regrets. As soon as I was seated I was handled by a “gentle”man who was so rough with taking off my gel polish from my natural nails. I was so uneasy and thought my nails were gonna tear/ break! I even told him “I hope you don’t break my nail!” Then came the part for him to look at my design which I was unsure of but went ahead and got it done any way! I showed him the photo and he looked like he knew what to do but after he did a few nails I was not happy so I told him it doesn’t look like the look I’m going for. He started over again (which by the way didn’t it didn’t take him long initially! To do those 2-3 fingers it prob took a whole minute or less! He wasn’t putting much time in it at all!). The second time around I still didn’t like it and he could tell so he wiped it off and was very impatient with me stating, “if you don’t like it this time I can’t do it! You can just keep them plain!” I was so annoyed at myself that I stuck around at this place. It was so not relaxing! Too many fumes, ill temperature, and technicians that do not have it together! It’s the holidays for goodness sake! Don’t stay open if you don’t want to work and keep the air on! They are charging wayyyy too much to be saving on air conditioner! What I would normally pay $45-50 in Buckhead I paid $20 over in Smyrna!!!! That’s some bulllll! I highly suggest you save to her hard earned money and go somewhere that will pamper you and be patient with you! Nails...
Read moreI’m new to the area and I chose to come to lush nail bar because of the good reviews. I have been here twice before yesterday. The first time I got an sns manicure & pedicure, and the second time i got an sns manicure. Their employees are really nice and do a great job on my nails, but this time, not so much. I decided to switch things up and try gel. I had sns powder on my nails previously, so I obviously had to soak it off. after 10 minutes soaking my hands in acetone, they started to burn. This is relatively normal for me considering my psoriasis, but this burn was a lot more intense then usual. I ended up having to pull my hand out of the bowl because it was beyond uncomfortable and painful. The nail tech I had sat in front of me and gave me my color options. As I was flipping through, I was deciding between colors and she told me to make sure I keep my hands soaking. I told her it was stinging and she was very nice about the situation, but proceeded to tell me that they had to soak. She then drilled off majority of the remaining powder and had me get the rest off in the acetone. When I was finally finished removing the powder, my foot was tapping because of the burning in my fingers. she cut my cuticles, & soaked my fingers in bags of alcohol. I pulled them up and noticed my skin had become open. I’m not certain if she noticed or not, but she paid no mind to the fact that my fingers were red and still burning like crazy. She cut my nails just as I asked, but the length of both of my thumbnails are completely different. I didn’t look hard enough until I left the store. I also asked for a marble accent nail. She completely missed the bottom of the nail when she was applying the marble design. My hands were super dry and cracked and she barely gave me any lotion at the end of it. When I woke up the next day (yesterday) I noticed the open skin on my middle and ring finger on my left hand were left with scabs. This was a really disappointing time because Lush has done a great job...
Read moreI had such an unfortunate and upsetting experience at Lush Nail Bar yesterday. In short, my best friend made appointments for three of us to get services prior to my upcoming wedding. Upon arrival, the lady at the front desk was rude and said that we could not be serviced due to being late. She insisted that we came too late and that our appointments were given away to walk ins despite my best friend being there for checkin a mere 2 minutes after our appointment window. When my friend asked about alternative options (e.g. could we wait a while and get serviced as walk ins) the woman at the front desk began threatening us. She raised her voice and kept saying that we were on camera, they had security, and that she would call the police. Ladies in the shop were staring. Others chimed in that my friend had did nothing wrong. At no point did my friend, nor anyone in our party raise a voice, act rude, say anything rude, etc. Further, my friend asked to speak with a manager, to which the front desk woman seemed to get further irritated and insisting that she would call the police. She did not give her name, and refused to share the manager's name. In the moment I was so stunned and upset by how quickly things escalated. I would have never in a million years expected to experience one of those Youtube-worthy escalation moments. It was embarrassing, rude, and extremely unprofessional. Even further, as we calmly left, two patrons walked out of the shop moments later to reassure us that we had done absolutely nothing wrong and that they were clueless as to why the Lush employee snapped on us. In conclusion, I will never go to this shop again, and as beautiful as it was, I would never ever recommend this place to others. In fact, I will be loud and clear to steer clear of this place. Looks are...
