We did a hot springs trip for Friday, March 21st,2025. This tour isn’t worth the $50 per person. A full refund would be great!!

Pros: Pickup communication and drop-off location once at Strawberry Hot Springs.

Why I’m giving this a one-star review:

I received an email saying to be ready at 7:50 PM, with the possibility of waiting up to 20 minutes after for pickup. Travis texted at 7:34 PM saying he’d pick us up at 7:45 PM. We got ready and were on the bus right at 7:45. While chatting with Travis, he mentioned we'd be the first group dropped off after the hot springs since we were the first ones picked up. That wasn’t the case.

The next group’s pickup was at 7:51 PM. They didn’t get on the bus until 8:03 PM because they lost track of time at dinner and were heading into their Airbnb as we pulled up. This delayed pickups for the three other groups after them. Travis also couldn’t find one of the pickup locations, and we spent 7 minutes driving around trying to locate it. After finally picking everyone up, we arrived at Strawberry Hot Springs at 8:45 PM. That’s a full hour from the moment we were picked up to when we actually arrived at the springs.

We were told to be back at the drop-off/pickup spot at 10:20 PM. We got there at 10:18 PM. The next group arrived at 10:21 PM, and the last group at 10:28 PM. On the way back, Travis starts telling jokes with another passenger. These jokes were homophobic, racist, and misogynistic. Example: "What do you get when you put four Black people, two Asians, and two Hispanics in a car together?" These kinds of jokes went on the entire ride back. To top it off, he drops off his joke-telling buddy first. We were third on the drop-off list at 10:54 PM.

I get that they want to provide a “premium” experience by picking customers up at their requested locations, but this policy needs to change. They need to implement a 5-minute max wait policy to ensure everyone can enjoy the springs for as long...

I will get right to the point, Kayla (one of the owners) went above and beyond for us. Highly recommend this services. Can’t thank her enough for supporting our request and letting us enjoy our last few hours in Steamboat! Now to the backstory.

We had booked massages at Strawberry Springs the morning of our departure without fully understanding how the accessibility to the springs worked. (It is complex and I highly recommend a shuttle over driving when it is snowing) Coupled with a snowstorm that came in over the weekend, we didn’t not think that we would be able to make it all the way out to springs, store our luggage, get massages and make our flight that afternoon. I called Sweet Pea on a whim and left a message early the day before all these activities were supposed to take place with little hope that it would work out. Kayla called me 30 minutes later as I was on the gondola up the mountain for our last day of skiing/snowboarding. I explained the situation and asked if she could make it work for us? She told me she would look into it. Not even 30 minutes later I had a text message explaining all the details of how she could make it work. And just like that our following morning plans were laid out and executed by Kayla and her team. I don’t write a lot of reviews, but Kayla, David and Kyle earned this one and my future services. Thank you again Kayla, the massages were great and we arrived early enough to enjoy the solitude of the springs on a snowy Steamboat morning. :) You earned these Five...

Sweet Pea Tours was a great option for us to be able to experience the hot springs! Especially since normal reservations through the Strawberry Park website were sold out, but there were still slots available with Sweet Pea (your booking includes admission to the springs).

The drive was pretty sketchy so I was glad to have the shuttle. It took about 30 minutes each way. The driver was very friendly and arrived right on time for pickup!

Two very minor complaints:

They promised a plastic bag for our wet clothes but did not actually provide one. Thankfully we had brought our own.

Since the driver escorted us into the hot springs and we had no interaction with the hot springs staff, the driver was the only source of information about the springs. He only gave a brief overview of all the pools, so because it was nighttime (it is EXTREMELY DARK at the springs at night) and it was our first time, we spent a good portion of our visit trying to figure out what pool is located where.

Overall though it was a...

The shuttle service is great, makes it easy to get there and enjoy. The hot springs are also great. Shuttle picks you up right at your address and takes you back, 2 hours at the hot springs is plenty - especially in the cold. The only thing I wish I knew is to bring an extra beenie, yours will get wet & be cold, and bring slippers so you can walk to your stuff of other pools without dealing with snow shoes. Went at the 4pm slow, perfect time to see what’s around before it’s dark but also enjoy the dark. Once it’s dark it’s DARK, you can’t see much so bring a light for changing and navigating after. Awesome experience!

It was completely worth it to use Sweet Pea Tour’s shuttle service to visit the hot springs. The road would be very hard on anyone without a 4-wheel drive vehicle. The time slot was also quite nice: long enough for a good soak, but not long enough for boredom to set in. The springs themselves are absolutely fantastic. We hope to come back someday! And when we do we’ll use Sweet Pea Tour to get us there.

Strawberry Hot Springs with Sweet Pea Tours was absolutely incredible! The shuttle was on time and gave enough time to enjoy then springs. The springs are beautifully maintained, with clean bathrooms, a nice changing area, and plenty of chairs to relax in between dips. The entire experience was peaceful and rejuvenating—we’ll definitely be doing this every time we visit. Highly recommend!
