Coastal Fitness Center — Attraction in Coos Bay

Very disappointing. It’s always crowded with high school kids who smell like they haven’t showered in a week, and there’s usually no air flow. Good luck getting any workout in at all around the 5pm-7pm time frame. I’ve had to leave before because there just wasn’t any room. The equipment is old and outdated, and there’s only one machine for just about everything except cardio. I paid for the 24 hour pass, but my code never worked in the 3 months I had a membership there. I talked to others about it, and they also said their code is finicky. What’s the point in paying extra if I don’t even get the benefits I’m paying for? I cancelled my membership at the beginning of July, but still got charged for another month at the beginning of August. I called in, and the front desk basically said ‘I don’t know why that happened, it says on my end it’s cancelled. Call back when the owners are here.’ And that’s it. Would...

Good equipment and plenty of room. Extremely lackluster customer service. Had to pay a $15 late fee on top of my $55 membership even though they wouldn’t allow me to use the gym for the month I owed them. Went in and paid for the month I owed them (which I didn’t even get the service I paid for because they wouldn’t let me workout for that month like I said) and received an extremely rude employee lecturing me that I didn’t have to pay for the month I owed them because they weren’t going to allow me back anyway. Still payed for it though. Good job guys! Also, they gave me more money than they owed me one time (a whole $20 more than what they owed me) and I returned it because it was the right thing to do. First of all membership way too high for the equipment you guys have. It's not modern and for the amount of people in such a small gym, $40 to $50 is outrageous. You're basically robbing people. They're gyms with modern equipment that do not charge that and have classes available ranging between 15 to $25 if you decide to partake in the classes and you're really not offering any other services outside of showering and equipment...
