The experience I had here was terrible. I've been to many venue events and shows all throughout the United States. So trust me when I say I didn't have a great experience. The line to serve drinks was open and the wait even with five lines was about forty five minutes to be served drinks. It was right at the beginning next to the line for merch as well as the line to check in from security. It was very a terrible location to put those lines. People were literally shoving to get by and it became really difficult to not get anxiety. I'm a person who is perfectly fine with crowds. But the placement of the lines made us miss the first two songs.
When we were sent to our seats from usher who ignored us several times. I was punked out of my seats I paid for 3 different times. Even by someone who left. I ended up bruising my left knee badly because I was pushed into a corner by a female and her husband who claimed there wasn't a seat. I had to show her my tickets and she still wouldn't move. It was such a terrible experience. I couldn't enjoy one of my favorite bands until half way through. I know several other people this happened to as well.
I ordered my tickets almost two months in advance and still didn't get a good spot. The only positive thing about this experience was Incubus and Brandon Boyds vocals. Next time this venue needs to open the foreway where the domino's location is and other vendors spots for space. It was just plane ridiculous. Or have someone watching the lines so people will be orderly.
Absolutely Terrible experience. I won't be coming back...
Read moreMy only complaint . ...... If you choose / have to get an ADA seat aka Disability accessible seating .
The USHER'S will restrict you alot . This has happened to me 3 times now at 3 different shows. These are just a few of what I had to go through tonight .
YOU can't walk in that area ( cause of your walker ) can't stand or do that because of where you are seated . ADA seating . Don't walk up the aisle ( because of your walker.) And it's blocking the way ....I can understand that one but don't be a ahole about it.
Not only that if you get A VIP package and need /got ADA seats forget about seating in VIP section even if you paid for it because of your medical required equipment .
The one that got me the most and just really ticked me off is when I was told... "you need to move your dog " .That was so unprofessional and rude .
I have a Medical Alert Service Dog . I looked at the dude and said you mean my Walker. I had it slightly Infront of me because I had just sat down and needed it for support to sit down in the first place .
Now remember this only happens at the Selena auditorium . And because I require ADA seating if it's at the Selena auditorium , Not all the time but most of it I am unable to get the ADA seating / VIP tickets to certain shows because it does correspond with the disability seating. It's so freaking frustrating and discrimination incognito at its best .
All else ABC aka American Bank Center...
Read moreI like the Selena auditorium very very much. It is a great venue for a concert. Every seat is good. And the acoustics are fantastic. Have seen some great performers there. Los Angeles azulus. Chris Angel. Foreigner. Dwight yoakam. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is you have to go through Ticketmaster to get the tickets. I am not a fan of ticketmasters a lithogram. Since we live here in corpus Christi, I guess the easy answer is just go down to the American Bank center and by directly from them that way. Also the elevator was not working. And my wife has bad knees so it was kind of a hassle to go all the way around. They do have a incline with no steps. However, there was no indication on the elevator that it wasn't working so we just sat there and sat there and sat there and finally gave up and walked around to the other side where the...
