I took my Galaxy A51 5G in to have the screen replaced and was helped by a very nice clerk paid in full and they ordered the LCD screen. I had a friend drop off my phone when the screen had come and had them pick it up as well. I got my phone back around 7:30 on Friday because my friend picked it up and brought it to my work so I could verify it was working correctly. The fingerprint scanner was not working correctly at first and it took maybe 5-10 minutes of me trying to scan my finger and adding another finger for it to work some of the time and there was also what looked like glue or something around the edges of my screen but I was still okay with that. The next morning I tried to put my tempered glass screen protector on and noticed that vertical white lines were appearing on the right side of my screen when I was pressing the air bubbles out and upon further inspection I noticed that the bottom right corner was raised a little bit and it just seemed a little out of position. I decided I would take it back to them on my next day off as I usually work 9-8. I went in on Monday and explained the issue and the man I spoke to went to the back to ask what they could do I guess. (though I didn't tell him the screen was raised on that corner just about the lines when you press the screen). He spoke to a lady in the back and the came out and told me it would be another 120+tax to fix the issue. I was confused and upset seeing as how I had not dropped the phone or done anything to it since recieveing it other than put on my screen protector. The lady came out and rudely told me that the issue is not covered under warranty and that I definitely dropped it or sat on it and caused the damage myself. I explained that it had been happening since the morning after recieveing it barely 12 hours after getting it and I hadn't dropped it or don't anything to it. She insisted that I must have because if it was the screen it would have shown the issue day 1. I tried to explain that it showed the next morning within a 24 hour period but she insisted it would be and there 120+tax charge. I have only had the phone for about 2 weeks and now the screen has turned black with just the white lines and the screen doesn't display anything. Read moreTook my phone in today, (apple 7 plus) 86$ upon first in store inspection everything seemed to be working. Upon further inspection through the evening, I noticed that the screen color depth was very low and that my original apple screen had far better color scale. Which means they used cheap replacements and I wasn't notified about it. I would have payed extra for the use of proper hardware if I was given the option. But I was not they simply just whamboozled me and took my mone. But alright fine that's okay, I need a phone and it was working nicely. By the end of the evening and into the night the same day my phone starts opening apps causing my battery to get hot and my iPhone lock screen to engage for up to 30 min. Which means I can't even turn on my phone until the 30 min is up. Sooo I basically am stuck without a phone for 30 min. Currently at this time my phone is now of emergency lock and now the phone won't even work at all I can't shut it off type my passcode or use it at all in any way. Mind you this is the SAME DAY that I took it in. Not even 24 hours have passed! The only reason I came to this store was because of google and the rating that they had. The more and more I started to read the reviews they were simply horrific and a consumers worst worst nightmare. I will not take my phone back to the store to even complain about the work that these "TECHNICIANS" did. For fear further damage will be done to my phone. Since I have used them I know my warranty with apple has now been voided and I will simply have to bite the bullet and pony up the cash to fix it properly at apple directly. Which I recommend anyone who is reading this to do. The only thing I can say good about this store is it will politely and happily take you're money and give you a phone that by first glance will work but then completely malfunction. DO NOT BRING APPLE PRODUCTS TO THIS STORE!!! DO NOT!! DO NOT TRUST THE RATING!! I will be making a complaint to the better buisness bureau and also channel 6 or any major media outlet to see if I can find someone to publicize my and many other unsatisfied customers reviews. Read morePlease don't waste your time or money on this place. Smart Phone Repairz is a JOKE!!! I used them once and they screwed me, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to try them again. I really regret it. Here are my experiences with this place:
The first time, I took in my iPhone to get my broken glass screen fixed. They fixed the glass in 2 hours (after telling me it would only take 1). I picked up my phone and was on my way. Later that day, my phone started turning off on its own. I took it back and Smart Phone Repairz told me there was nothing they could do since I left their shop!! I ended up going to the Apple Store in San Antonio to see if they could fix my phone. Turns out, SMART PHONE REPAIRZ STOLE MY ORIGINAL BATTERY AND REPLACED IT WITH A CHEAP BATTERY!!!!! My phone had never been opened or fixed prior to taking it to Smart Phone Repairz, so how does one explain that?!?!
I should've never went back, but just recently, I dropped my Samsung Galaxy S5 in water and wanted to see if they could fix it. Their website says water damage takes 20 minutes to fix and only costs $20. Well I get there and am charged $30 and told it takes 24 hours. Ok whatever I guess! I pay the money and leave my phone to be fixed. 24 hours later, I haven't heard a thing from these people. I call to check the status and they tell me they're still working on it and are not sure how long it will take..... 3 days later I still hadn't heard anything from them, so I go in to the shop to see what's going on with my phone. My phone was sitting at the front desk waiting to be picked up, but NO ONE EVER CONTACTED ME!!! Not only was I never contacted, but whoever tried to repair my phone DAMAGED MY SCREEN!!!! It's horribly scratched and was not in that condition when I dropped it off. I asked to speak to the manager and he REFUSED TO COME OUT OF THE BACK ROOM!!!!!!!
Seriously, this place is a joke! I hope they get closed down soon. They do nothing but scam people out of their hard earned money! Please don't do any business...
