i used to love this place, but not after our experience last saturday where our whole party felt incredibly singled out. waitress comes up to get our drinks and is visibly not in a good mood, complaining that she’s tired. i get it as im a waitress too, but i would never greet someone that way. whenever she comes back to take our order, we place an appetizer and let her know we need just a second to look over the menu. 15 minutes later, she comes back to finally take our order when we had been ready for a while. no problem. after waiting for a whole entire hour since we had sat down with zero update on our food and no communication from our server, we flag her down as we also had been empty on drinks for quite a while, pointing out that at least 4 tables ordered after us and had gotten their food already. she proceeds to tell us that the reason it’s taking so long is because WE took long too order and offers no apology or explanation for the delay beyond blaming us. another 15 minutes pass and it seems like our server is purposefully avoiding us and not giving refills, but we finally get our food. we always order the same thing, but our portion size was noticeably smaller than every previous visit. i really tried to be understanding, but the lack of communication and outright ignoring us was baffling. i would never support a business that regularly treats customers like this based off of other reviews...
Read moreWent there for lunch , there was a big table , but they were leaving. The restaurant only had 4 or 5 other tables, including mine . There were 3 servers and 1 other person who brought out food, including mine. The reason I mention all of this is that even when I asked for water , I still sat with an empty glass for a long time. My server was in front of the restaurant, just standing there a big portion of our meal , so not even waiting on another table. I ordered an appitizer for my meal and made it clear that I wanted it to come out with my husband's main entree. It did not, and I had to eat it or have it get cold. When I asked my server, she said next time, let them know? I did!! The good news is that I loved my fried vedgetable fritters, and there are a lot of them. I also ordered the stuffed onion Nann , I did not like it. There were too many onions, and they were very strong ( I have had onion Nann in the past with just a hint of onion)when I told the server she wanted to argue with me , she finally told me she had canceled order ( did not pay for the bite I had) The place is beautiful, the decor is very nice with a mural of an Indian bride in dining room , but that does not make up for the lack of service , high prices and small servings( except the vedgetable fritters) I am not sure I will be back...
Read moreOther reviewers are on par for this food joint. We walked and were greeted quickly to be seated. It was busy which is always good. We definitely had time to look at the menu because we did not have a waiter for quite awhile more did anyone check on us after getting our food till I flagged one of the staff members down for our check. It is very load between the load music and everyone trying to talk over it. The menu is very overwhelming if you do not go in knowing what you want. Food seemed to take much longer than expected. My wife and I ordered Mughalai Malai Kofta , Chicken Vindaloo and Garlic Naan. All three had amazing flavor and would definitely recommend them unlike other reviews. Medium spice is what I got the chicken dish in and glad but my wife got low spice and wished she chose no spice. They do charge 3% for card use and do not tell you so good thing I knew this from another review and paid cash. Something odd was we were not given a receipt although we asked for one. There is also a bit of a language barrier because we wanted to ask questions but our waitress really only understood the name of the food and we also could not understand her however this could have been do to how load it was. There is not much decoration minus the umbrellas hanging from the ceiling, but it was a...
