Colorado Grande Casino — Attraction in Cripple Creek

At first me and my hubby liked going to the Colorado Grand it was fun...after living in cripple creek for 6 months...we learned lot bout our lovely little grand...There is an employee her name is Jody she is a floor manager i think is what she tries to be...she was nice at first..But then for some unknown reason she decided not to like my hubby..so we are there playing i be-leave it was on a Friday or Saturday we were playing the slots we had one beer a piece we asked for another the waitress Jessica i be-leave is her name said OK be right back next thing i know there is this so called floor manager Jody saying we are not playing enough to have another beer they would have to charge us...WOW OK at this point i had 700 something points that day on my card my hubby had 300 some on his if u play slots u know how much we put in to those machines There is a security / slot guy with her and the cops at the bar watching my hubby like as if he is going to do something REALLY it a beer whatever so we leave we dont go back during the day because Jody works then but it had been a spell so we decide to go this saturday witch is 9-27-2014 they are having 100 hot seats WITCH i hate to let ya all know is fixed bs but none the less they are to be called within the hour every hour so we are there sitting around waiting for the hot seat now it has been an hour...NOW like i said sitting around the floor manager several times walked back and forth were we are sitting and then once again here Jody comes with her security guy and tells my hubby he has to leave because he has bad order...WHAT THE HELL...sorry anyways its bs again i do be-leave this Jody is harassing my hubby for whatever reason so my plan of action is to go to gaming office and if this is not resolved then i will be going to the news papers to let them now what our lovely Colorado Grand Casino employee Jody is all about thank you for letting me vent sincerely...

Up until my last visit, I would have given this casino a quadrillion Stars. This used to be my most absolute favorite casino in town . I always spent a lot of money there and even though it's a smaller Casino, I thought it was the best place to play. The last time I was there, however, the waitress comes up to me and asked me to order a drink . I order my typical, and as soon as I get done ordering she turns to me and says," you need to up your bet to get a drink ." I was betting $0.70 a spin. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but you go through 20 bucks rather quickly on those slot machines. It was absolutely Furious and embarrassed. It completely made me feel like some lowlife and they're trying to get a free drink. I immediately got up, withdrew my money and went to the cashier and cashed out my money and left and I will never be back there again . Every time I go in there I drop at least $100 or more and if I want to play one penny at a time oh, That's My Prerogative. I still spend a lot of money, and they just lost my business. Not to mention the tips that I always gave I'm not a quarter Tipper either. I always tip 2 to $3 per drink, and that cocktail waitress, whether she was told to say that or not, we'll never get a penny...

HEARTLESS!! We were planning to camp in the area but with severe rainstorms decided to book a hotel room. We found a room at the Colorado Grande Hotel to stay with our 3 children. We asked for a suite and there was no mention of the hotel policy to not allow children. There is also NO mention of the policy on the website. When we arrived at 9:30 PM we were turned away due to the hotel's no child policy. We completely understand that a casino is not a place for children but this is a hotel AND we were not told of the policy prior to booking! Considering the hotel's error, the time and the weather we hoped that they would overlook the policy for one night so that we didn't have to drive in the rain again at such a late hour. THEY DID NOT!! Completely unsympathetic and at that point the entire town and all surrounding towns were booked. We had to drive 2 1/2 hours back home. Completely heartless and unacceptable. Even if you enjoy a childfree hotel, stay elsewhere with people who are actually decent...
