On January 2nd, I walked into this Sephora and immediately when I entered the store I felt as if I was being stared down by this one specific employee. When I walked into an aisle, the Sephora employee by the name “Kaitlyn” approached me. I could immediately tell that her attitude was noticeably cold and unwelcoming. She didn’t bother to greet herself at first like the rest of the employees did and gave an attitude. When I asked Kaitlyn for assistance in finding a product, her response was far from friendly. She barely acknowledged my presence and handed me the product with a dismissive gesture. Her lack of professionalism and basic courtesy left me feeling disrespected as a costumer. To make matters worse, as I thanked Kaitlyn for her help, she responded with a dirty look and said “My name is Kaitlyn for when the people at the register ask who helped you out.” and walked away. It was clear that she had no interest in providing a positive shopping experience or even basic customer service and just wanted credit for who she helped out. Thankfully, everyone else was so sweet and I have no complaints about the rest...
Read moreExpensive. They have everything, alright. I guess you have to be lucky enough to get the right person to accost you with a make up demo, lol. I didn't. I got this phony hater chick that gave me bad advice. I was preparing for a meet and greet with my favorite celebrity. My husband went off to shop elsewhere, while this moron applied my make up. It looked okay while she was pointing me to the most expensive products and telling me I looked great. But it's way too bright in there, purposefully, to really tell. So do go in there knowing exactly what product you want. When she finished, she had me convinced that when I went to meet my fave celeb the next week, I'd know how to apply everything she applied. So after buying $150 bucks of makeup, my husband met me outside and said I looked like The Ghost and Mrs Muir! And not Mrs Muir, THE GHOST! And he was right. I ended up looking great for my celeb charity meeting that next week, but I used only 1 of the 5 products she tricked me into buying, adding it with my usual rite aid...
Read moreI would put negative stars if that was an option! I had a very disappointing experience with Sephora. They canceled my makeup appointment for the day of my event—just 4 hours before—without even calling me. Instead, they sent an email. When I went into the store to see if they had a solution, I was told there was no replacement available because the makeup artist called out. The only options offered were for me to “try MAC” or wait while the manager called around to other stores.
This was the day of my event, and I was left scrambling last minute with no reliable backup plan. A company like Sephora should have better communication and contingency plans in place. Canceling on a client last minute, especially for a scheduled appointment tied to an important event, is completely unprofessional and left me extremely frustrated.
I will never shop at Sephora or book another makeup appointment with them again. Please save yourself the headache and go with a reliable makeup artist who won’t leave you hanging on the day...
