Update: The owner reached out to inquire about our first experience, which is rare. That action means a lot and lets me know what customer service means to him. I appreciated the contact and had to return. My friends and I returned and had a much better experience. The sommelier was well-versed and provided excellent services! We were able to sample the wines with great direction, and I'm glad we could purchase our bottles! I've updated my experience to 4 stars!

The 3 Stars are for the overall experience. Had our situation been handled better, I would have given 4-stars.

Pur Noire is a beautiful space. The ambiance is a vibe! Perfect for my birthday wine tasting.

Pros- I booked through their online system. The payment was easy, and ordering charcuterie trays for my party was simple. I had to remind them I purchased the charcuterie trays for my party, which they brought out with no issues. Our sommelier was sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. I opted for the Trois Wine Tasting, and we had the Pur Elevation, Pur Epiphany, and the Port Wine in place of the Pur Noire Reserve for those who preferred sweet wine—the Pur Elevation was nice and smooth. The Pur Epiphany went well with the cheese in our charcuterie. We hate we were missing chocolates, but the tasting went well.

Cons- The parking garage took a few minutes to locate if you're unfamiliar with the area, so that caused some of my guests to arrive late. The parking garage is on Victory Ave on the other side of the cinema.

Wine-tasting experience- The wine was terrific; however, clear expectations should state what happens after the tasting when reserving. For instance, once your wine tasting has ended, your reserved time is concluded. Once we made it to our 3rd tasting and while drinking our last pour, our guide explained the option of purchasing. This should be done during the second pour if the expectation is for people to leave right after. Our sommelier left, and as we decided on our wine, another worker walked over and told us we had to move as they needed the table for the group at the bar behind us. I asked where we could finish drinking our wine and if we could move to another empty table or location inside, as we wanted to purchase a bottle to drink there and take with us. She again stated they needed the table where we were and never answered my question.

After seeking out the manager, who was very nice, for clarity, she offered seating outside in the 100° weather and explained if I wanted extra time, I should book an event through the site. We went outside to drink water and recap the experience with no wine! An easy solution could have been to swap the parties so we could finish our wine and purchase our bottles at the bar. This was a missed opportunity. Four of us wanted to buy wine after the tasting and drink one of the bottles there; however, after our interaction and lack of explanation (we had to seek answers), we decided not to, and some do not plan to return.

Question: Is Pur Noire only for tastings? Is it open to walk-in customers who want to drink wine by the glass or bottle, or must you have a reservation? Do you have to book an event to enjoy a purchased bottle of wine after...

Let’s talk about the BEST new tasting room in Dallas! Yes, (cue Etta James) AT LAST, Pur Noire Urban Wineries Dallas is open in Victory Park!! As an extra treat, owners Kenneth and Carissa Stephens were in town so we got to catch up on the latest new developments (#ErionWines.) TeJada Kennedy started us off with Pur Noire’s Pinot Gris Elevation, a bright and crisp delight. Next we tasted the Tempranillo Rosè Euphoria, which has long been one of my favorites. Then Carissa stopped by to let us try Erion’s Sauvignon Blanc and Rosè, which are so smooth and easy to drink. These are the bottles you keep in the fridge because you want a glass of wine on a Tuesday afternoon or to share with a friend who stops by on the weekend. Each varietal is unique and it would be impossible to pick a favorite. To finish out our adventure, Carissa shared both the Erion and Pur Noire Merlots with us. The Erion has the rich Merlot taste you’d expect, but with a lighter feel that can still be enjoyed with a meal. The Pur Noire Merlot was the perfect ending to a wonderful visit. It has the full flavor that engulfs every taste bud and leaves it begging for more. This is the wine I hoard in my wine fridge and bring out on special occasions.

Whether you’re a sophisticated wine aficionado or are simply wine curious, the amazing staff at Pur Noire has the experience and expertise to help you find your perfect match.

If you’re in Houston be sure to visit the original Pur Noire Urban Wineries location Downtown on Milam.

Want more Pur Noire at home?? Join the Wine Club!! The extra perks are well worth it and you will have access to wines that may not be available to everyone else. And you’ll have more reasons to visit the tasting room to try your complimentary monthly pour! I could go on and on, but now I’m thirsty for another...

We had the absolute pleasure of doing a 6-wine tasting at Pur Noire Winery, and it was truly one of the most memorable wine experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was classy yet welcoming – the perfect setting to explore some seriously impressive wines.

Our server, Mikela, took the entire experience to the next level. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable about each pour, but also made us feel like we were longtime friends. Her passion for wine was contagious, and she had the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. Every wine came with a story, and her thoughtful descriptions made each sip feel intentional and special.

The wines themselves? Phenomenal. Each one was unique, complex, and perfectly crafted. We were especially impressed by the depth and character in each bottle – from bold reds to crisp whites, every pour was balanced and bursting with flavor. You can truly taste the care and artistry that goes into Pur Noire’s winemaking.

If you’re a wine lover (or even just wine-curious), Pur Noire is a must-visit. And if you’re lucky enough to have Mikela guide you through the tasting, you’re in for a real treat. We left with bottles in hand and smiles on our faces, already planning our next visit.

Five stars aren’t enough – thank you, Pur Noire and Mikela, for an...

We chose Pur Noire as our couples' date night/birthday celebration location (two couples, with one person from each couple celebrating a birthday). We had a 4:30 PM Saturday reservation. It was pretty busy when we arrived, with several two-person tables and two groups. It was energetic and loud. The ambiance and decor were nice. We paid for the grand tasting and two charcuterie cups (the charcuterie has to be ordered at least 24 hours prior to your tasting). The grand tasting included six wines. The wines were good, some better than others. Each person in our party found something they liked. Our wine hostess was nice and seemed knowledgeable. She explained the wines, the creation of the company, and things to look for in the tastings. She gave us the right amount of time between tastings and was very friendly. We each wanted a glass of the Merlot and were told it would be cheaper to get a bottle. The bottle was $64. It was good but not worth that price to us. We've had better Merlots for half that price. But it's a matter of opinion--others may disagree. None of us are true connoisseurs, but we each enjoy a good glass of wine and know enough about pairings to get by. We all enjoyed this place and would return and recommend it. It would be nice for a date night or girls' night out.
