This store used to be great 2-3 years ago. They had an electronics section, the prices were very inexpensive, and they had a good rotating stock. I've gone twice in the past 6 months, both times walking out empty-handed, and will likely never return. Here's why: they don't sell certain things like they used to. For example: laundry baskets. I bought a few from them before, but this time they snatched one from my hand and said, "Sorry, we don't sell those." They use their laundry baskets for stocking items, which I understand, but they literally get hundreds of them in donations and have a surplus sitting outside in the rain. No justified reason to quit selling them. Next, the prices of all items have undoubtedly gone up - meaning double or triple what they used to be. Most logo t-shirts used to be a thrifty $1-$3 each - now most are $4-$6 each. All coffee mugs used to be $0.25-$.050, now they're $0.50-$1. I mean compare it to a retail store - I can buy $1 new mugs at the Dollar Tree, but when they were $0.25, that's beating their price by 4-fold. I can buy BRAND NEW logo t-shirts at Walmart for $5 (really, go check out Dixon), some that are even made in the USA. So my point is, when you go to a thrift store you expect to pay less than what you'd pay for the same, new item. Half their store is retail price now. In addition, their selection has dwindled. Finally, they used to have MUCH better prices and quality compared to other thrift stores in a 30-mile radius, but now they've fallen drastically. What a great store...
Read moreMy son gave me a $50 gift card for my birthday at the end of January. Today is 05/29/20 and due to circumstances beyond my control I am leaving Ca state to move to Florida To donate all my stuff it would cost me a $10 pickup fee from SPCA, OK Whatever! oh by the way Would you please honor my gift card for cash due to these unforeseen circumstances. Darci.S.....the manager outright refused to pay me cash. I have never in all my days met anyone so rigid about rules....Who may I speak to regarding this issue. Darci S...with the God Complex says that “there is no- one above me”.PERIOD Are people not meant to be flexible and caring and helping one another during this time. There is absolutely no good reason for her to NOT honor my card with cash. I always donate to SPCA and purchased from them over the years, I AM PRETTY DISGUSTED to say the least One other time I purchased a pair of tiny gold ear rings from her as a gift for my daughter. They were $80. Not even had 45 mins had passed when I saw a JC Penny flyer the exact same earrings. On sale down from $59.99 to $21.99 Within the hour I requested a refund with item proof in my hand to Darci who again...
Read moreThis is pretty good thrift store which raises money to fund animal rescue programs. They sell furniture, clothing, lamps, toys, kitchenware and much more.
I came looking for some kitchenware and found some pretty good finds for a good price. I paid a total of $4.50 for a pot, two plates, fork, spoon, knife and a cute cup (including student discount). They offer a student discount (unknown but probably around 15%) and senior discount (20% for ages 55+). They didn't have many pots/pans from what I saw but I assume things come and go because its a thrift store.
A few notes are that this place didn't have its AC on (unsure if it was off or if they just don't have any). Some things might not seem perfectly tidy/organized but they are categorized into their respective sections. The prices on a few items may be high but other things are also really cheap. I personally liked that this place has a wider range of items than the local Goodwill (it has only clothes and a tiny men's section).
I would definitely come back and I would recommend you visit it as well. I included images of the outside, recent pricing charts (prices vary if item is labeled differently) and...
