Stopped by Volusia Mall and it’s really sad to see that there’s hardly any foot traffic here like it was back in the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s. #volusiamall #daytonabeach #mall #indoormall #daytona #florida #fyp #volusia #centralflorida #shopping #oldschool #olddays #daytonabeachflorida #genx

The Volusia Mall is absolutely discussing!! The GM and Asst GM needs to be fired!!! Along with their so called housekeeping staff and that one extremely rude Allied Security lady. We went out to Dunderbaks today for Father's Day. We thought it would be nice just to walk around the mall afterwards to see what stores were actually left. What a sad, sad sight. Never again. Tanger area for the win. Here's what we found out, the cleaning crew only cleans the bathrooms once daily. And funny story about the family bathroom sign being closed for cleaning in that one picture...nobody was in there cleaning and it still wasn't clean...2.5 hours later. Anyways, I found the housekeeping gentleman in the back. I guess just sitting down absolutely doing nothing on his time that he's supposed to be keeping the restrooms and mall clean. But, I guess when you are only checking the restrooms and "cleaning" them once a day usual midday... one could just sit around. This means when the mall closes they never clean the restrooms again. I was told that by employees of certain stores. So, that's why today when we walked in (soon after the mall opened) they were absolutely disgusting. Blood on the walls, some foreign item on the wall, and beyond filthy toilets. After my mother had to sadly use those conditions we all went walking. However, we had to dodge smeared poop mines throughout the mall while walking. I ran into a Allied Security person which is funny there's four of them and only one cleaning guy (I saw) they need to figure those numbers differently. I explained to her what was going on and I headed back to the women's restroom to take these pictures as I had already left a nice message on the general managers answering machine. And that is when I saw the guy finally coming out of his little back room break area. I politely yet matter of factly addressed the disgusting filthy bathrooms (showed pictures) and the fact that for 2.5 hours the family restroom was still considered "getting cleaned." Yet he and I know was not even in the process of getting cleaned. I also told him about the poop mines throughout the mall as well. Again showing pictures. The security lady was coming around the corner and saw me talking to the gentleman and became extremely rude to me. Funny thing, she thought it was going to be a good idea to tell me that I had no right to even say anything to the guy. I beg to differ. I in fact most certainly did when my mother who just got out of the hospital was having to use those sad filthy conditions, along with every other woman and child. I'll just say that she was met with a very polite nice response back to her. And I explained to her she had no right to tell me I couldn't say something to him. Period! Between that housekeeping guy and that security woman, if they get paid more than a penny an hour they're getting paid way too much. Along with the GM for sure. Thank you for letting me rant. This is however, not over with. I'm so embarrassed to call that my mall. Oh, and those poop smears were not all in one area. Some were close to the Piercing Pagoda store in the middle of the mall and the others were in the walking area towards the Dillard's closer to the front of the Mall.

Ok...... where to begin šŸ¤” I'm Here at Volusia Mall Daytona Beach, fl I was gonna review this mall earlier but the mall was open from 2pm to 6 pm Saturday šŸ˜’. So here I am Monday afternoon 😁. The mall seems very slow in foot traffic ( hence the shorten hours ) The outside of the mall is clean but very dated. There was an odd spooky vibe to the empty store fronts. The food court reminded me of a old South Park episode.. I was waiting for tumble weeds and zombies to emerge from the empty store fronts. Very nostalgic!!!.. the mall did have strong anchor stores like .... - Dillard's - JC penny - Sears - Claire's 🤣 ( my big sister worked there wayyyyyy back in the day) They had stores that seemed to be ready for business, but wasn't open šŸ˜•, it was 1:pm.. I used a massage chair that was 5 bucks for 15 minutes.. I sat and watched the old people power walk through the mall 🤣.. The mall had full service restaurants outside. Cheddars and a few other's.. I wouldn't recommend this mall if you're trying to walk and do something shopping. The hours are not consistent.. this mall is on the verge of being a inside flea market 🤣.. They had a few suspicious/ suspect store fronts wayyyyy in the cut.. This mall isn't worth the drive šŸ˜’

Had to go to tge mall for my daughter a homecoming dress. She went online and picked out a few she wanted to try on went up to the sales associate and showed her what she was looking for and wanted. We was told that we couldn't get it there that it was online ONLY! My daughter was upset and so was her bestfriend alone with my mother and myself because we called out there to confirm that they had those exact dresses in stock. Was told yes and they woyld be pulled for us so we didn't have to wonder around searching for them! Just to be told when we drove 20 to 25 mins. There that it was not available and they didn't never have any of those dresses available in store. I wasnt happy at ALL and then so my daughter asked for help finding similar dresses for her upcoming event and yhe sales associate got a attitude and turned her backand stomped off like we inconvenience her. When she came back 25 mins. Later after we looked for her and asked other associates where she went she came back with like 2 dresses that we seen on our way in that looked nothing like what we was looking for! So we our group looked through the racks in a last ditch effort to find ger something to wear. Luckily we did find something but it was ridiculously overpriced and there was nothing we could do but buy it so my daughter would have a homecoming dress! We went out that store and to find shoes and assessories which we did in record time with great service can't complain about the shoes and...
