I like this Costco since it has gas station as well. They usually have well stocked items and have nice cashers and associates at member service station. I took off one star because their Wireless station has unprofessional guy who must think he is the king.
Stephon, the manager of the kiosk would say anything to sell the phone but once the order is placed, he would not help you with checking the delivery status or talk to you, never answers phone calls. He told me to call him daily from 2 to 5 business days for the delivery of the phone since sometimes phone gets there even before I get shipment notice. However, He NEVER answered phone calls. I ordered on Saturday and I got notice of expected delivery on Wednesday. So I drove there 13 miles on Wednesday twice.
However, Stephon kept arguing that I placed the order over the weekend and he had no control over the Fedex. He did not care the fact that I got notification for the Fedex that it was to be delivered that day.
I went there next morning Thursday after finding out that it was loaded onto Fedex truck at 8:30am but since Stephon did not pick up the phone. Stephon made me wait while he was with a customer but refused to check the status even after the customer left. During my 3rd visit, I spoke to the front end manager Justin who checked the delivery status directly for me and offered future help with phone delivery status.
I made the 4th trip to pick up the phone after receiving delivery notification and confirming the arrival of the phone with Justin.
However, Stophen refused to generate the receipt and instead asked me to come back the next day. It was around 4:30PM and there was no other customer and the kiosk closes 8:30PM.
I spoke to the store manager Jorge about that I made 4th trip to purchase the phone but Stephon refused to print a receipt for the phone. Jorge spoke to Stephon but he lied as if I have been complaining about FEDEX. At no time, i complained of delays or demanded control over fedex. I acted according to the Fedex notifications and only asked to see if it was delivered.
Justin came to help, but by then I was too tired of responding to Jorge who fully trusted Stephon and gave me irrelevant explanation and did not allow me to speak at all. Only after Naome interrupted him that phone was in. Jorge stopped argument.
I told Justin and Jorge that I should not give business to a totally undeserving guy and cut the loss and moved on to Waltham Costco where I received a professional service which 100% satisfaction.
Hey Costco Dedham, replace the arrogant kiosk man Stephon with a professional team like...
Read moreThis is a review for the tire center. The store in general deserves 3 stars.
Get ready for a long one folks...you can't make this up.
I ordered a set of tires online back late last year for my SUV. It ended up being where only 3 were delivered to the store and the 4th was missing. After 4 calls they were able to contact a rep at the tire manufacturer and get the 4th tire sent out. It arrived at the store in February (I gather). No one from the store called to let me know it had arrived or to schedule the install. I called the tire center no less than a half dozen times to try and find out if the tires were in and to get the install scheduled. The phone would just ring off the hook, or someone would transfer me to nothing. It was like a running joke. I finally get through to someone and I asked if they had availability and they said, no joke, I don't know. Fast forward to my actual install. They said it would take roughly an hour maybe a little more. I go shopping for an hour and 15 minutes. Cart filled, I wait outside the tire center door. It wasn't for another 30 minutes after that my car was ready. Total time 1:45.
Driving home, the car is shaking uncontrollably at speeds above 50 MPH. I've never witnessed such imbalanced tires, it was almost as if they just didn't balance them. I call back when I get home, and they said, oh sorry about that. Swing back and we'll take care of it. Then I get out and look at the tires... 2 of my 20 inch wheels are scratched and chipped. Including areas around the center caps, where they apparently used a metal flathead screwdriver to pry them off, nice.
I go back to the store a few days later to open a claim for the wheel damage, and to have them rebalance my tires... an HOUR later, they have been rebalanced.
The tires are now fine in terms of balance. The rims are damaged. Received a quote for $450 to have them repaired. I have yet to hear back from costco on the damage. As a 14+ year LOYAL costco member who has spent ungodly sums of money there I am left awestruck by the incompetence, complete disregard for personal property - and time, and the overall insane experience this purchase has been. The $200 I saved on an $1100 tire purchase was really worth it! Stay far far away from this...
Read moreBeen coming to this Costco since Covid started. It used to be a good warehouse, great values and customer service. But I’ve watched it go downhill for the recent months.
First, the food court quality has gone down. The soda cups have shrunk and hot dog buns are made with lower quality ingredients. Condiments are missing a lot of time, especially ketchup, and food employees are getting sloppy and slow.
Second, the return and price adjustment process is a nightmare now. I get that they discourage you to do so, but at least have a good attitude towards your customers. Having a generous return policy doesn’t give you the right to treat customers like we owe you.
Third, the employees who carry carts from the parking lot back to the warehouse are careless. I’ve seen them dragging carts dangerously close to cars. ‘Costco is not responsible for damages in the parking lot’? I don’t think so if it’s your employees hitting the car without even noticing.
Finally, I’ve had enough of the lack of training for employees now. Today, I tried to get price adjustments on two orders of different quantities of two products. One order, two cases of tea and one case of soda; the other order, two cases of the same soda. The employee, Kim, who looked like she joined recently in 2024, kept asking her coworker, who was helping another customer, for help. I was patient considering she just joined.
But Kim became frustrated because she couldn’t figure out how to find each order. Then she grew inpatient with me and suggested that customers should say clearly what the refund should be. Well, I showed my membership ID, receipts, and said I bought different quantities on different dates. That used to be more than enough information to get the price adjustment, but it took almost ten minutes to process two orders. It also felt like my job to process the price adjustment.
I don’t know if it’s a system flaw, employee training, or local management, but Costco has got to improve their customer experience. With both the price and employee attitude rising, Costco is losing me as a customer day by day…
I still love the concept of Costco and the brand I used to know, but maybe it’s time to give BJ’s and Sam’s...
