Shake Shack Dedham — Restaurant in Dedham

Wow, what can I say, other than over hyped and barely passed as edible (with regards to the food). The shake was very good, but I cannot give individual ratings for the things they offer, hence the reason I am giving 2 stars, and not one.

First time eating food here, and I was less than impressed. Over priced, for what you’re getting. Tiny tiny little burger, barely a handful of fries, and the hot dog my wife ordered, well, was barely edible.

I ordered, supposedly, what is their top burger, the shack stack. The burger and mushroom that is stuffed with cheese. Well, the burger was over done and dry, and made me have to drink a lot of water, the mushroom part, was so over cooked and disgusting, that I didn’t even bother trying to eat it after the first bite.

Let’s talk about that first bite. All the filling spilled out into the paper wrapper the burger was held in. Thankfully I had the burger in the wrapper, or I would have suffered some serious burns. Kind of defeated the purpose of paying the extra money to get that cheese filled mushroom patty.

The hot dog my wife ordered was way over cooked and burnt. Multiple levels of char were on this thing. After she scratched it all off, it tasted like a cheap overly salted thing you buy at a convenience store at 2am when drunk.

There was nothing wrong with the fries, per se, just the lack of them. For $3, I expect more than a handful of them. Maybe if they were seasoned fries, or maybe if they were made with duck fat or something else, to justify the price tag, but, I digress.

I honestly don’t understand how the food is so popular. Maybe I’m old fashioned. Maybe I want my food to not be burnt and dry and have flavor.

As I said the milkshake was very tasty. I would return for them, just never could fathom ever subjecting myself to the horror show that is shake shacks futile attempt at a burger and hot dog. It’s as if (not so well) trained monkeys decided to come up with the menu, only having a vague understanding of what constitutes a burger joint. And then deciding, because their signature item is so good, that they can get away with charging double, perhaps triple, of what the food is worth.

I had better burgers in third world countries where the idea of a burger is new and exciting, yet they don’t understand what it actually is, just that they’ve seen them in movies, and heard us Americans talk about them when we travel. Maybe the chefs of Shake Shack Corporate Hq should head on over to Southeast Asia and learn how to make a burger. Or Texas. Or Oklahoma. Or any grease pit diner that has sold them for years on end, without making any hipster...

Do you want to know what my favorite restaurant is? Well I'm glad you asked because you're in for a treat, literally a treat. My favorite restaurant is Shake Shack. I love Shake Shack because of how amazing the food is. I also like how Shake Shack is really convenient. And my last reason for loving Shake Shack is the great seating and service.

The food at Shake Shack is amazing. First off they have the best shakes ever. They even have seasonal shakes too. They had a peppermint one once in the winter. I also love the cheese fries. They have gooey cheese and the fries are still hot when they come out. Their hot dogs taste awesome and they have free ketchup. All of the food at Shake Shack is sooooooo tasty.

Shake Shack is very convenient as well. The one that I go to is at Legacy Place where there are lots of stores. It is very nice to shop before or after you eat. The movies are right next to it too so if you want to watch before or after you eat than you can go to the movies. There are other locations in Boston too. You should go to Shake Shack.

There is great seating and service at Shake Shack too. The food at Shake Shack comes out fast. The employeers at Shake Shack are very helpful and give suggestions. There is also lots of seating at Shake Shack. I love how the seating arrangement is set up. It has an island and more space behind that. You can get great seating and service at Shake Shack which helps you feel more comfortable.

These are only some of the reasons why Shake Shack is my favorite restaurant ever. The food at Shake Shack is very scrumptious. I like how Shake Shack is so convenient. Lastly, it has amazing seating and service. I hope Shake Shack stays around so we can go there all the time.

I very much like the food at shack shake, but there is possibly something awry with the management of the store in Dedham. I am writing this review after a few visits. 12/31/18 was my first time getting the mobile app to work, which I used sitting in the store itself. Yay for that! I cannot tell if the store was understaffed or not, I noticed 5 people working, it was around 6:30pm. The store was not being kept clean, esp in the kitchen area. I ordered via the mobile app as did a few others who were waiting for their food. There was one person staffed to take the prepared food and hand over to customers. He seemed like he didn't want to be there. Oddly, the mobile app indicated that our orders were ready a mininum of 10 minutes before they were (data from my experience and the two other people waiting) The staff member responsible to give us food, packaged our orders and threw them on a side table, never calling out our names. I finally went up there and stood at the counter, refusing to leave. After min. Of 5 minutes, he asked what I wanted and I gave him my name and he picked up one of the ready bags. Def. Need to work on this process, but also, the attitude, food delivery and cleanliness of the store. The food was cooked exactly as requested, medium and well...
