Samarkand Food Market — Attraction in Deerfield Township

Nice store with many international grocery items. However, the prices are slightly above average. I could not see anything that was cheap to call it deal that should not be missed.

We tried their meat shawarma wrap, Overall it was 7 over 10. The amount of meat was good for a sandwich, but not for the price they charge. However, the meat was dry. It will be better with a little more fat in the meat. They offer a white sauce with garlic in the sandwich. Fine. But, what do I get if I do not want to eat garlic? Nothing. How difficult is it to make a white sauce without garlic? Not at all. Just a little attention to offering the best service or just a service that works for them. Also, they add red tomato sauce in the sandwich, which is nice. However, it is leaking everywhere when you are eating. It makes your hands and your pants messy if you do not pay attention. Why does it have to be that much liquid? No reason. Just because not paying attention to making it a little thicker. Make it like a past and spread it on the bread and forget leaking.

They have Uzbek / Russian style cakes for $12.99 per pound. There is a costco store very close. Go and grab a similar cake for $18.99, that is 3 pounds. Also you get 18 inch XXL pizza for $9.99 that may feed 4-5 people, but you get a shawarma wrap for $12.99 for one person. Are they the same? No. But, these comparison are to show how expensive...

Obviously the owners put so much effort, resources and time in this business: the variety of cooked foods such as appetizers, salads, stews, baked goods etc.is very impressive! The store is clean and neatly organized, very well lit, competitive pricing, clean bathrooms. Few weeks ago we attended a party where all the dishes were purchased from this store and everything was awesomely fresh and delicious! Many dishes tasted like true homemade recipes! And of course, like every other business, there is a not so positive thing about it: the cash registers. Cash registers or possibly shelves close to the cash registers are inconveniently located for the customers' flow. Some kind of congestion is always created near the cash registers. Overall, we are greatful for the opportunity to taste Samarkand cooking in Cincinnati and highly recommend this business to our family, friends and business associates!...

While Samarkand store offers a wide variety of products that I enjoy, my recent experiences with their customer service have been disappointing. The cashiers consistently lack politeness, rarely smile, and sometimes even come across as rude. It's disheartening to witness employees who seem disinterested in their work and in serving customers. I've recommended this store to friends, but they've also encountered similar treatment.It's crucial for businesses to prioritize customer satisfaction, especially considering the role cashiers play as the face of the store.
