I wasn’t going to leave a review originally, but it was a traumatizing experience that has been on my mind so I have to leave one. I booked for a pedicure and a Brazilian, the pedicure part went great I have no qualms about that. The pedi is the only reason this is a 2 star review instead of a 1. This review is simply to give a bit of insight to anyone who might want to get a wax here because it is cheaper than most wax places. Short answer, don’t, and if you do get one and manage to leave unfinished, with wax on still, and irritation on your waxed area don’t expect a price knockoff like I did cause the boss won’t do it anyway.
Long answer; The lady, Linda, that did the wax was super nice and apologetic, but very untrained. She didn’t use gloves, and she used scissors during the wax as well which made me very uncomfortable. They have a very tiny room in the back they put you in, not proper space to stretch out on the table for a proper wax and I think that is a bit where this went wrong.
She had me stretch parts of my body so that she could apply the wax, but was visibly frustrated when she couldn’t get it done properly. She also used very small strips, maybe eyebrow strips, so she had to do the same area multiple times. When she went to rip the strips it was a bit slow and rough. I think she used a hard wax as well instead of a soft one because it was very painful, and my pain tolerance is very high.
I had to leave unfinished as they were getting ready to close, mind you I got there at 5, and it was approaching 7 at this point. She was very nice and did keep saying sorry and seemed empathetic which is why I stayed there longer than I wanted to but I should’ve just left. She, Linda, even asked her boss to lower the price for me from $65 to $55 and the boss said no! I was in pain, area very irritated and I still had wax on me as well as not even getting the whole service complete! I felt robbed, and undervalued as a patron. How could you charge your customer the full price of a service they didn’t even fully recieve? Would never get a wax here ever again and I’m even contemplating returning for nails just based off the boss’ response. If that’s how you treat your customers I don’t know if I...
Read moreWorst experience ever. I used to like this place a lot but after yesterday I will not be returning. I came in yesterday for Acrylic removal along with a manicure. I even called to schedule an appointment so it’s not like they weren’t aware of me coming in. I got there and at first everything was okay until the lady attempted to remove my Rhinestones. She got frustrated and began using a tool, my nails were flying everywhere and she laughed. I understand that removing acrylic is a pain, but the way she went about it made me very angry. She soaked them off.. i personally thought they would do the old fashioned use another nail to get it off technique but I was wrong. She got frustrated because it wasn’t coming off fast enough (soaking takes forever) so she stuck my hands in and out of acetone for atleast 30 mins. She kept drilling but the acrylic still wasn’t coming off. My hands were freezing, cold, irritated etc. Then she goes to start talking about my nails and how they weren’t coming off to her coworkers because she was annoyed. One of them came up to me and randomly started rubbing my nails and told her how to bs her way through finishing my nails. As you can see in the picture my nails and lumpy because she didn’t take all the acrylic off. The paint job and quality of the nail polish was HORRIBLE. She left me at the dryer and never checked back to see if my nails were dry. All she was concerned about was getting me out the way so she could service others that were paying for a higher service. ( my total was 27.95 for removal and soak off) I DID NOT TIP ! And I don’t feel as if I should.. ladies go elsewhere.. maybe it was just the lady who did my nails idk but the whole situation was uncomfortable and I look like a two year old did my nails until I go get...
Read moreI will definitely NOT be going back here. The service was very very poor and the nail tech was very rude. They charged me $98 for a set of nails that definitely was not $98 work at all. My appointment was at 5:30 and my nails weren't started until after 6. When she was applying the acrylic to my nails she made them way to thick and bulky. I have attempted to do my own acrylics (Not good at it) and they literally looked just like that. She was going to leave them like that until I said something. The acrylic did not go down to my cuticle and cover my WHOLE real nail like it's supposed to. it Looks like I've had these for a week already when I JUST got them done. The shape is horrible and again, looks like I've had them for a week already. The shape is crooked on most nails, uneven, and not crisp like they should be. The paint was applied unevenly. You can see it and feel it. There's bubbles and streaks everywhere. The work was very rushed. She was rude and tried to hurry up and finish so that she could leave. I had to ask her to fix so many wrong things which she would have left if I didn't say anything. And she had an attitude every time I asked her to fix something. Again like I said, definitely wasn't $98 work. More like $40. I don't know the name of the lady who did my nails but she has a tattoo on her right forearm that wraps...
