I wanted to find some answers about open dates of this gym for my girlfriend. I like the workouts at F45 but I had a not great experience with one of the gyms regarding dishonest or misleading pricing and a somewhat not-as-friendly-as-it-could-be experience for members paying for multiple months of service. I was hoping to hunt for a different F45 location and the Uptown location is convenient for some people I know.
I had heard from a friend about this location that they were opening in mid-August but when the rep from this location jumped on a call with him he was very put off (as a salesperson himself) by an overly salesy and "jockish" (in his words) approach. My friend felt like this gym was just trying to lock you in to pricing and not let you out. That was my friend's experience speaking with someone from this gym. I still feel like I know how to navigate the pricing regardless and I like the workout and location of this gym, so I tried to follow up today about the date this gym will open.
I have attached the text transcript.
F45 overall provides a decent bootcamp style workout but I think this style of "customer support" or "sales" or "customer service" is aggressive and has the relationship of business backwards. You can just go get the same workout F45 provides at a park with about $40-50 of equipment you...
Read moreI was a member at F45 Uptown Denver for a year when I decided to pause my membership for three months, debating on whether I should rejoin. Not once did any of the coaches check in to see where I was or why I hadn’t been to the gym. They had their favorites and those people definitely got special treatment while the rest of us could barely get a “hello” from them. After a whole a year, some of them still didn’t even know my name. They claim the workouts are 45 minutes, but when you take into account the amount of time it takes to go over each exercise, warm up, and cool down, the workouts were barely 30 minutes. The coaches are rarely helpful, and mostly dance around during workouts or are on their phones. None of this is worth the $140+ monthly membership fee. On top of that, I decided I would cancel my membership during my pause and gave 30 days notice before my pause was up yet am being charged the full membership price rather than the suspension fee. Nowhere in the membership agreement nor cancellation form does it say that your membership will be fully reinstated during a suspension when you request cancellation during the suspension. Needless to say I will never go back to this place and will discourage neighbors from getting a...
Read moreI have been out of shape for years and in the constant pendulum of starting and stopping working out. I usually loath working out but I have always wanted to join a program like this to see if it would give the the motivation I needed, and it really has. The price is well worth it for 2 trainers a session and the support they bring, it honestly is the best investment I have ever made into myself. This location just opened a little over a week ago and I have only missed 2 days due to other commitments. I LOVE IT! Sophia is the head trainer and is literally AMAZING. The other trainers Chevy, Callie, and Matt (I know I'm forgetting a few others right now, I'm sorry!) they are all great. They really help push me to do better, lift more when they know I can and honestly I feel like they really care, which you don't get in most fitness settings. I highly recommend F45 but even more I recommend this team at the Uptown Denver location, I could not be happier that I made the jump to start taking care of myself with this...
