Central Presbyterian Church — Attraction in Denver

My needs and desires for a faith community have changed with my life circumstances over the last 9 years I have attended Central Presbyterian Church. As a newlywed, I sought out insightful, intellectual preaching that was biblically based. I required a church that was open and affirming to the LGBTQ community. And my wife prioritized a church that had women in leadership. But what we found, that we didn't expect, was a place that we could call home, and a people that we could call family. When we adopted 2 boys, our church community gave us the space and support that we needed. As we have dealt with health issues, our pastor has given us insight and comfort. And we have felt so fortunate to have a village to give our boys multiple perspectives on faith and life without guilt or shame, but with hope and curiosity. And supporting a church that prioritizes missions like New Genesis Men's Shelter, the Central Visitation Program, Metro Caring, international missions to Guatemala, the Summer of Service, and so much more gives us confidence that we are not supporting a religion but giving back to humanity.
