My original rating of the store was 1 star but I have to write a update after I spoke with the manager of fast fix. Here is some background information on my experience.
I brought my wifes ring in to be resized, long story short the store used gold instead of platinum, said the diamonds were fakes and took 2 times longer than quoted. After 6 months the ring cracked and I called the store to bring it in only to be told it was about 2 weeks out of warranty and any repairs would be out of pocket. Another 6 months later and the piece that they used to make the ring bigger completely broke off leaving a huge gap in the ring.
I called the store and spoke with a sales associate only to receive the worst customer service in my life. The person told me that I got a great deal on the resize( I explained that it was well over 160.00 for the resize and it couldn't be a deal if the ring was falling apart 6 months later), he also told me he might pass the message on to his manager, told me that the old jeweler did shotty work but the new one was much better and finally told me he had to let me go because the store was closing in 10 minutes and he had things he had to do!! I was literally offended!
The next day I was so angry I called in again and spoke with the manager David, he was completely professional and explained that is not the way fast fix does business. David gave me his personal cell phone number, fixed the ring free of charge and assured me that the employee would be reprimanded. This person could not have provided better customer service.
My first experiences with fast fix completely destroyed any future relationship that we may have had with any future jewelry repairs but I want to say that David the manager is the one and only saving grace the store has had in my experience. I wouldn't take my jewelry back to this store unless I could deal with David directly each...
Read moreI had a horrible experience at this repair shop. I had brought in my watch last September to ask if they would be able to repair missing bolt. The staff member asked if I would like to have my battery replaced and I agreed as it would be in the repair shop already. The staff member then aggressively pulled the lever causing it to pop out and said “that’s not supposed to happen”. I had shared that has never happened how many times I have winded the watch, she disregard my comment. I then received a message about 40 minutes later that they would not be able to work on the watch. I returned to the shop and she shared that the lever had broken and most likely the entire mechanism would need to be repaired… I was in disbelief as this was due to her negligence and rough handling. I took the watch and denied the further estimate for repairs. I had reached out to the manager regarding this incident. She advised me to bring it in and they would try to give me a 10-15% discount. Over the phone I was estimated $200-300 repair but would need to bring it in for their estimate repair person to do a thorough estimate. I was appalled as the watch itself (disregard the bolt) was broken due to their staffs members poor handling. I was hesitant to return due to the poor experience. I recently took that same watch to Bulow’s Jeweler to assess for repairs. The watch repair man there shared that the set lever was broken due to excessive force. I had my watch repaired there (battery replacement, set lever, bolt, and a back gasket) for a very reasonable price and great customer service. I would not recommend FAST-FIX based on the poor experience that I...
Read moreFast-Fix is a terrific franchise. They repair jewelry and replace watch batteries for your quartz watches. Replacement batteries can be bought at different "levels" and the watch brand determines the pricing. So, for example, if you have a Fossil quartz watch (making up the $$ amounts for illustration purposes only) that needs a new battery, you can pay $30 for the one battery and an additional $10 to test for water resistancy for that one time visit, walking out with a one year warranty on the battery. An additional $10 gives you a 5 year warranty on the battery. And it goes up from there. If you have a high end automatic timepiece that requires serious work or repair, you would be better served by taking your timepiece to an authorized dealer or an authorized repair shop. Fast-Fix is perfect for setting the gemstone that fell out of your brooch or earrings, etc. Usually a "do it while you wait" but that depends on how busy they are. Service is polite, friendly and efficient. Need a few links removed from or added to your watch strap? Take it here. Want a new strap entirely? Bring it here. Need a necklace/bracelet/ring shortened/lengthened etc? Bring it here. Perfectly reasonable prices and speedy no...
