Would NOT recommend in peak season.. June to sept. Unless you stay at a resort on the beach you will only have a small 100ft beach to share with the public. I have NEVER seen ANY beach that lets every ocean front hotel own the beach and block it off to its guests only. I have been all over FL and the Atlantic side. The resorts take rental chairs and umbrellas and set them all the way to the edge of the water along every square inch of the beach. We had no view.. and you couldn’t even see the water for rude ass people with GIANT canopies on the beach. Not to mention everyone’s music like it’s a concert. Destin in MAY is way different then June. I have always loved FL.. but it was not pleasant this time and i will not be coming back. Id much rather stay on the Atlantic side near smaller towns and beaches that dont let everyone BUY it and make it to were you...
Read moreAbsolutely loved this beach! Here’s my review of it … Pros: Gorgeoussssss clear water!!!! Water is shallow so you’re able to walk out a ways and still touch Soft sand Beautiful scenery Saw zero sharks only cute little fish Had a lifeguard that was on the lookout and taking precautions for the rip currents
Cons: It’s private !! I was not aware of this but thankfully my family and I weren’t told to leave Because it’s private you’re not able to rent any beach chairs or umbrellas Helicopters fly repeatedly over the area
Despite the few cons I had a fantastic experience at this beach and would recommend it to others. The scenery and water...

My home away from home was just a five minute walk to Crystal Beach. The water was a beautiful emerald blue green. It was a really cold 41 degrees for the sunrise. Sunset was warmer at 60 degrees, but the wind still had a bite to it. Destin, Florida is a beautiful place with friendly people. I recommend a visit if you’re looking for a beach town and love emerald colored water. The sand does...
