Always loved going here with my kiddos.....until this last visit. Had issues with my card they charged a portion of my purchase but the rest wouldn't go through. The lady came and canceled my purchase but got an attitude when I pointed out that they had already charged part of my purchase. So I waited there to find out how I would get my refund and she came back asking why are you still here......well I want to be sure my purchase was canceled and that I will receive my refund for what I was already charged. Oh you will get it and it is canceled....then I pointed out that the screen showed a manager was needed to cancel it and she became even more rude. Then she asked what happened to all the stuff you took out in the cart already....um excuse me but my husband took my 2 month old child out in one cart and i gave you another cart with the items we ended up not wanting.....she treated me as though i was trying to steal something......I left the store to talk to my husband about it and was in the parking lot when she came out ( with a look of I hope she's not still here) and said would you like to come back in and speak with the store manager about getting your refund? Why yes, that would be grand. In the end just this one worker and their OVERPRICED DONATED ITEMS has ruined my love of this store. So no, no longer a fan.
And an added issue....more than once we have found something we wanted and there was a price tag for way cheaper than their price on it. When we ask well can we buy it for the cheaper price that is on it they say nope it's this price from this tag. Ok if that's your price why not remove the other price tag or give it for the cheaper one? Just my thoughts. DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE RETURNING...
Read moreI was there 10:30 on a Sunday one at the checkout and another at the jewelry and instruments counter. I has a lot of stuff in my hands only one lady ahead the check out lady said to go to the counter. The lady came forth as I set stuff down. She said you have too much stuff. As I pointed out a missing fuse on a neon light saying it was missing the fuse could you discount this? She said no it works insisting it worked. I realized pointing out that it couldn't be tested and her insistence was absurd and made me wonder about the accuracy of other items they sold as working. While walking about the store I notice they had raised prices. A lady said they also raised kids clothes. Having grandsons and shopping for toys i noticed i could but new tips at Target, Walmart, or dollar tree stores cheaper new than buying this used sometimes damaged stuff or junk. I also have been to other Thrift stores such as Saint Vincent De Paul in Livermore and learned their prices were better and their quality of merchandise was better. I asked them how they kept such good quality? They said we throw away a lot of junk. Perhaps savers should learn this. And when I can buy new clothes from Kohls cheaper than Savers, why buy used clothes at a higher price. I would worry if I was Savers that like other thrift store I heard of, that higher prices just caused buyers to go elseware resulting in the thrift having to be closed. So after having the clerk insist that the light without the fuse did not cause she because she said so I said no I don't want it no do I need anything here on the counter. So I thought thank you and left all on the counter and walked out.i really didn't need to...
Read morei had a bad experience and I yelled at your employees. I was in the donation line when I was gestured to go around a car. They expected me to parallel park and I wasn't comfortable doing that as there are people opening trunks and moving all over the place. One of your employees (bald man) told me i had plenty of space, which i could understand. They got mad at me because I just pulled to the side instead of unloading and they said I must take time to parallel park when someone would end up leaving shortly and guess what, some lady in front ended up leaving as soon as they told me to parallel park. There needs to be a better system. I shouldn't be expected to parallel park. I should be able to wait in line behind someone without having to dothis extra work of parallel parking. I just want to get out of my car to load even if I am not up to the designation unloading spot. This place has gotten mad at me in the past for bringing the stuff myself not from the donation line. Get it together, this is basic engineering skills that doesn't require a degree. Have a better way of handling things. Also have a barrier for your donation line so that people don't cut as well. I hope you change your bureaucratic donation line into a better process. Need better management and better employees that don't inconvenience drivers, this is Dublin not a crowded NYC road!!! The employees are rude and this store smells! How am I supposed to conveniently donate stuff with this awful bureaucratic process? Just because I am a donor and not a paying customer, you don't get the right to inconvenience people. I wrote a nasty email to HR regarding all of this. Someone needs...
