This store was a complete mess when I went there last night. There were mismatched boxes in several displays. It was as though customers put the boxes wherever they wanted and the employees didn't bother fixing them by putting them back where they belonged. I went in looking for a specific shoe, and I found the display shoe I was looking for. When I found a box in that display in my size, though, it was a completely different shoe. I couldn't find the shoe I was looking for in another display. I also saw two neighboring displays, featuring different brands with different boxes, and the exact same shoe-not the one I was looking for- was displayed above both of them. I checked the tag on the tongue to be sure.
After not finding what I wanted, I went online to DSW's site and searched for the shoe I wanted. According to the site, it was in stock at this store, so I bought it and waited for the notification that I could pick them up. 16 hours later, I get a notice that my order was cancelled, and that the item was "no longer available." I'm pretty sure they just couldn't find it in their mess.
I emded up ordering my shoes to pick up at the Bay Fair location, again online, and received notice within 2 hours that they were ready for me.
I love DSW in general. They often have the most size 11.5 shoes. I'll give this specific store another chance just because of my loyalty to the brand overall, but I have never been more disappointed in...

Read morePurchased shoes for my son with a Velcro strap, as he is only four years old and does not yet know how to tie his shoes. After 3 weeks of wear, the Velcro does not stick at all, rendering the shoes unwearable because they keep coming off when he runs or even walks quickly. They would not honor a defective product.
Told me to call customer service and all they did was give me the runaround saying there’s no way they can help me, it would need to be addressed in the store. Store management could have done something to address the issue, rather they thought it was better to push the problem onto customer service, knowing they would not help at all.
