I have been a client of USA Foxx & Furs since 2008. Since then they have created many coats for me, at my direction and with my own ideas. The coats have garnered lots of compliments and even a few "wows." The coats' craftsmanship were all top notch. On the rare occasion I actually had to alter a coat after it was made, alterations were made promptly and with quality skins. Speaking of skins: you will NOT find any other furrier with both the quality and quantity of skins than at USA Foxx & Furs. The skins that were used for my coats were freshly garment tanned with soft, stretchy leather, deeply furred and with excellent color, markings and fullness. The quality of the coat construction is superb. They follow direction closely and even give insights and ideas that I didn't think about that greatly contributed to the creative process and the end result: beautiful garments I would enjoy for decades to come. I also use them to store my furs at the end of the season (something all fur-coat lovers should make a habit of). The company thoroughly goes through each of my coats (I have made 9 coats with them), helps fasten buttons, make minor repairs and even add some fur to the coats that.. .ahem.. "shrunk" lol. The additions are always so good I cannot even tell where they were made, but the coat fits great and comfortable again.
My latest coat, a fisher, is no exception to this. The skins are superb, glossy, soft, with deep fur and very full. In fact, the skins were matched so well I had to ask if there was any dye or color added on them! This company surprises me every time with just how attentive they are to detail. You also know what they are doing. Matching skins to make them look uniform is no small task and it requires a keen eye for color, glossiness and to be able to properly grade each hand-selected pelt. The result is a coat of incredible beauty. Me being.. well.. me saw a couple of things I'd like to tweak. But this in no way at all detracts from my overall experience and love for this coat.
Okay you might be thinking.. this all sounds great.. but you probably pay a fortune. Think again. USA Foxx & Furs offers payment plans and their prices are UNBEATABLE. I used to think fur was only for the tiny elite. Those able and willing to shed 50K or 200K for a single garment. USA Foxx & Furs doesn't believe in that. They believe in the crucial role fur, as a renewable fabric will play in dressing modern men and women. As people become more conscious of the harm synthetic fabrics cause to the environment fur, which is sustainably harvested (the dark days of uncontrolled harvests are long gone) is nature's wonderful response to winter and a very eco-friendly choice. I was even able to restyle my grandmother's marten stole which is over 50 years old! USA Foxx did a fantastic job at that too. Their prices are transparent and they are always up front and detailed with their price and what comes with it. No surprises at the cash register with them. Their prices reflect the above-mentioned philosophy. They want trappers, hunters and the public at large to be able to own top-notch garments at a price that won't make you mortgage your house. Give them a try. Even if it is for a simple rabbit leg warmer. Even if it is to get that vest you have always dreamed of. Read more6-4-2024 On the 30th of June, 2022 I brought the thirteen beavers and three raccoons which were in the green from my first year trapping to USA Foxx to have them tanned and returned to me. I chose them because they are a Minnesota company and only a three-hour drive away so I wouldn't need to ship them in the mail. The other reason I chose them is because at the time I didn't know anything about fleshing pelts so my options for tanneries were very limited as they are the only one that offers fleshing services. The original timeline that they gave me upon dropping the pelts off at their location in Duluth for return was 10-12 months. In May of last year I called them inquiring about the progress of where they were at in getting my pelts back and they told me that it would be a couple more months before they came back and would be ready for shipping. I continued to call them about once a month inquiring about the progress of where the pelts were at and each time they keep telling me that the pelts are two to four weeks out and they should be getting back from the tannery soon. Finally in March of 2024, nine months after the originally promised maximum length when I called about the twelfth time they told me that the three raccoon pelts were back so they would send them to me. When I did get the racoons back they were in good shape and could be made into a hat so at least they get credit for that. The beaver pelts on the other hand I am still waiting for, nearly double the maximum amount of time that was originally promised. As of March this year I have been persistently calling them about every two to three weeks and each time they tell me that they are anywhere from two to four weeks out from getting the beaver pelts back. Earlier today I called them again and I was told that the beavers would be another four to six weeks to get back as they had just sent out the last of the beavers that had been brought into them in 2022. I'm giving them a one-star review as the wait time on getting my pelts back has been ridiculous and my patience is wearing thin on this matter. If and when I get the beaver pelts back and if I'm impressed with the work they did I will edit this review and give them a higher star rating. But since I'm still waiting on them two years later, they get the lowest rating possible and any fellow trappers I talk to I will tell them don't get any pelts tanned...

I have followed up numerous times as to the status of my order. Originally, they said it would take a year, which I was fine with.
Every time i've called i've gotten the excuse...that my number was coming up and should be done soon. Last time I called, they said they would NOT be done by Christmas 2022 (another broken promis) and then they told me Jan 2023. They said my number was almost up next. I was counting on these for Christmas gifts. Christmas delivery would have been 1 year and 2 months of waiting. Now it's February 8, 2023. That's 1 years and 5 months of waiting.
NO ONE has ever called me to let me know the status of my order, delays, etc. I've always had to babysit and followup them.
Maybe I've been taken, and my money is gone? My furs are gone too? My order was lost? Is that the issue? I don't know, but I can tell you that I"m horribly disappointed with the lack of customer service, follow through, and timeliness with your company. Right now, I have nothing good to say except to tell my fellow hunters, let people know on facebook, that this is the experience I've had with your company.
I'm tired of everyone blaming covid, lack of employees, etc. I'm a business owner too, and I work 80 to 90 hours a week during tax season to get the job done. I don't complain, I don't blame, I don't give customers excuses - I make promises and I keep them. Your company makes promises after promises - but no delivery.
I have had big game mounts done sooner then what your company's timeline is. So please don't blame the tanner, or lack of getting supplies/product. Honestly, I am so disappointed.
