Sister Cities Park — Attraction in Duluth

This area is very pretty and very peaceful, despite being filled with countless tourists. There is a great walking trail and biking trail along the waterfront leading down to the lift bridge. You can even rent some mulit-person bike/car things (though they're costly) to ride down the paved path. The public restrooms at the corner of the lake park were very clean, too! There were some great historical markers to see...

Pretty cool, accessible parking, very nice walking path. Either up the North shore or al ong over towards the canal. Excellent view of the huge ship. Leaving Port right there through the canal and the drawbridge. Made for exciting video for the grandkids. Lots of yummy shops close by and of course Beach area with some kids jumping off that old cement pier of sorts that's...

This used to be called Corner of the Lake Park (look at its location on the map and guess why), but I guess they plan on making this the new Sister Cities park, instead of the one by the Casino where all the bums sleep. It was built to filter rain water as a part of the city's ongoing efforts to control polution runoff directly into the lake...
