1.25.24 It’s been over a year since I’ve been coming here. My manicures with Cici are consistent. However, for my pedicures, I’ve tried way too many Technicians that just can't get it right. Either they can shape, but don't know how to polish or vice versa, and are really good at their techniques but extremely rude.
Off of a recommendation, I made a pedicure appointment, yet was informed that the Technician was on vacation. I was referred to someone else, and he was very sweet and kind. However, the way applied the polish made it clunky and far from neat. When I asked the Manager if someone else could polish, he disregarded my request and didn’t offer any assistance. Unfortunately, I politely asked the Technician to stop and remove the polish, and left. I will find a new nail salon tomorrow as I will never return here again.
6.1.2023 For my pedicures I've tried different technicians—Van, Tina, and Sandy. My simple preferences are shaping and polishing. It’s very challenging to find decent and consistent Technicians who can produce quality work and on a consistent basis. My pedicures have me intently focusing on my expectations that I'm paying for as opposed to enjoying the relaxing/pampering experience.
My time with Sandy was good as she had great attention to detail. Her checkpoints were good as it provides me with the opportunity to share guidance or feedback. However, my last encounter with Sandy was not a pleasant one. When I asked her to fix the shaping and clean up the polish, she got offended and said she can't work when she is stressed. That led to her getting up and walking away. I had to then request another Technician to finish my pedicure. Unfortunately, that person couldn't polish correctly so one of the Managers had to step in and finish the polishing.
I understand that some Technicians only do manicures, pedicures, natural or enhancement nails. Regardless of such, it's a business offering services that in turn expect to be paid/tipped even if the customer is unsatisfied with the services. Paying customers should receive what they are paying for. I'm running out of...
Read morei booked this nail salon because they were the nearest location that offered gel x as a service. The nail tech, Anna, began fitting my nails with the extensions but took a very long time. She tried to proceed without ANY sort of nail prep. When i asked for my cuticles to be treated, she even charged me an added $10. got the sloppiest cuticle work, exactly as depicted, left in worse shape than before and since my visit, they’ve stayed dry and rough and peel into hangnails constantly. i have NEVER gotten a full set from a nail salon that didn’t already include prep. that’s wild. she did not even push them back. it’s been exactly a week since my visit and the regrowth looks as if i had this set for 3 weeks.
This took anna more than 2 hours… for a basic pink and white set. which she also charged +$15 for and an extra $5 for the stickers I brought in myself. and when i was asking her to put more of MY OWN decals she acted very stingy towards me and basically ignored me to rush me out. the application was bad too, they sit on my nails bumpy and not flat.
my nail shapes itself are at different lengths, and she managed to botch a basic coffin shape. i had to keep asking her to file them skinnier which bothered her. had i not been looking, she really was gonna let me leave with squares and coffins like dude. and how do you not know how to make coffin nails?
somehow the total charge was $95 + tip. i wouldn’t pay $1 for these nails and now they’re stuck on me. management was horrible to me. told me no refunds, only $5 credit like why are u talking to me like i’m stupid? manager who RUNS a nail salon told me my nails look fine. perfect. no shame. the other manager, he tried to take a pic of my nails from afar, probably to counter me if i filed a dispute with my credit card company, and i did. i’ve never had a worse experience in my life. honestly kinda devastating knowing i spent 2 hours and $100+ for this...
Read moreLove that Yvonne B landed here after selling her shop on PIB. Yvonne has been doing my nails for a few years and when she sold her place I had to do some digging to find her. So glad that I did. Her hours work out for the days I’m in Dunwoody. She knows her craft and recommended someone there who could do my pedicure as Yvonne B does only hands. So now I get my nails done regularly and then pedicure every other appointment. The salon is large enough to host girls day event. They have plenty of technicians for nails or pedicures. Weekends can be busy but they do what they can to accommodate you. Enjoy the pampering!
7-10-25: I’m afraid that I’ve had to change my review because Yvonne B has left this salon and I’m not too happy with the results from the most recent appointment. It’s been a week and I’ve had to go into Nail Care twice to fix the nails that got chipped. I asked for refund but was told no refunds and they would fix instead. Why should I have to go in multiple times to fix? The chipping is on my fingernails and using SNS, which normally lasts me 3 weeks when my nails grow out. 8/6/25: Received a response from ownership that they would share this OLD review with Yvonne. And now, the tech who did my pedicures has also left. How can they share my old review with the techs who are no...
